What a cozy and lovely property! The hosts were communicative and provided guides to the local areas. There were also guides in the unit for hiking activities. The studio unit is very clean and decorated beautifully. It was well-stocked with the essentials we needed such as toiletries, ground coffee, creamer and sugar, cleaning supplies, cooking items, extra linens and towels. What makes this unit extra cozy was the cute gas fireplace at the corner of the room and the overall serenity of the location. The bathroom has its own timed overhead heater which really helped during cold mornings. The unit is located on a big private lot in the woods, but very close to town. We visited Grass Valley and Nevada City for the Cornish and Victorian Christmas celebrations but once done, we looked forward to returning to the unit and felt like we wanted to just stay indoors and relax. Wished we could have stayed longer. Thanks for hosting us, Francis and Nancy!
The Last Resort studio is a gem. We have stayed many times in the past with friends and family in the Grass Valley area and now prefer more privacy and quiet during our visits. The studio suited our needs well. Thank you so much.
Nice and quiet. Very clean. Well stocked. Would stay here again.
This cozy spacewas amazing for the end of ourkng days of hiking. So close to great restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed our stay!
It was quaint. Perfect for the two of us. Owners very nice.
The space was clean, comfortable, and convenient. The hosts are careful to preserve your privacy while staying attentive to your needs if you have questions or requests. Easy to get to Main Street, Grass Valley or Route 49 - just down the road. We had a nice stay.
This small place was every bit of home one could wish for. It’s tucked into a nice area surrounded by beautiful trees and birds. Behind the cottage is a creek that is breath taking. Inside this studio is plenty enough room for two adults to sleep in the queen bed while the pull out couch sleeps two small kids (ages 7&6). Make sure to ask the owners to leave blankets and sheets for the pull out bed. We stayed during the winter though we never worried about being warm as there is a plug in fireplace that warms the entire place. It has a full refrigerator, a sink with dishes and utensils. It has a coffee maker and a two stove electric burner. We didn’t cook so I’m not sure how well it works. The bathroom is nice sized with a stand up shower only. The place was spotless. Kept up very well, clean and smells heavenly. Five minutes away from major market (Safeway) and where our family lives. This place is amazing to bring yourself and or family with. If I could say one thing about it, take quick showers! The water heater only holds enough hot water for one and a half solid showers. We had to rotate taking showers every morning and night. Other then that, I would highly recommend this place.
As always, the Last Resort was welcoming and comfortable. We love the quiet and the view of the stream.
This is a very sweet spot! I was very comfortable and appreciated the attention to detail! Thank you for a great stay!
Loved the private patio.
