Stayed Feb 2, 2026The accommodations were clean and nice on the inside and hosts were very nice to deal with. However, it is in a seedy/rundown area of the waterfront, which affected our enjoyment of the property.

Stayed Jul 31, 2025The location of the rental was convenient—very close to the USS Lexington and the aquarium, with plenty of food options nearby. The beach, however, was on the bay side and not as nice as the island beaches.Unfortunately, the room was infested with roaches. We discovered them at night crawling across our luggage, on the walls throughout the room, and all over our bathroom items and toiletries. They were even crawling near our dogs’ food and water bowls. One particularly disturbing moment was when I pulled a utensil from the kitchen drawer, began using it, and a roach crawled out of the handle while I was holding it. It was extremely unsettling and unsanitary.We contacted the owner, who responded quickly and had pest control come out that same day. While we appreciated the fast action, we still had to vacate the room for several hours with our dogs, which was very inconvenient.On top of that, we didn’t receive our check-in information (room number and door code) until after our scheduled check-in time, which caused unnecessary confusion and delay.While the location had its perks, the infestation and communication issues made for a disappointing and uncomfortable stay.
