Former mansion dating from the late 18th century in the heart of Avignon's historic center. Listed building in the Unesco World Heritage protected area.
The apartment has been fully restored and refurbished with noble materials, parquet flooring, exposed stone, large heritage-listed windows and marble.
The apartment's balcony overlooks the rue du vieux Sextier and the Halles d'Avignon market. Located on Place Jérusalem, next to Place Carnot, Place Pie and Rue du vieux Sextier, this apartment offers quick, easy access to a wide range of shops, cafés, restaurants, museums, theaters and shopping. The lively neighborhood can be noisy, depending on what's going on at the time. Step out of the building onto the pedestrian street. The area is very popular with locals and tourists alike, so we'd be delighted to share our favorites! and our good addresses!

* The building is not equipped with an elevator.
* The rental is on the 2nd floor, so it's not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
* Bicycles are not allowed in the building.

* Located in a pedestrian zone, the building is not accessible by car.
You can park your vehicle at the Parking des Halles (paying) 100 meters from the rental (see photo N° 30 in the ad to show you the available parking spaces).

*1 min walk from the Halles covered parking lot (paying parking lot).
*12 min from Allées de l'Oulle parking lot.
*1 min walk from the Halles covered market, open every morning from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Closed on Mondays.

What I suggest to my vacationers to best discover the city is to live it like a local:

-go shopping at the Halles (100m from the apartment) in the morning, where you'll enjoy the smells of the Provencal market, the quality of the produce, and the authentic bistros serving local specialties.

-strolls through the town, where you'll discover the strong presence of medieval architecture dating back to 1352.
-the sun-drenched terraces of the bars and restaurants, the student atmosphere of the Place Pie, and its music calendar featuring singers, bands and DJs, all in a festive atmosphere. During the Grand Festival de théâtre vivant du monde In & Off, music and theatrical performances take place both indoors and out.

    A very well appointed, spacious and tasteful apartment. Gracious welcome from hosts , Monique and Michel who provided all the information we needed. Only minutes from the beautiful market and various supermarkets and in the centre of the old city with countless places to dine and experience the local culture. Avignon is beautiful and has a great ambience.A most enjoyable and relaxing stay.
