My husband and I stayed with our small dog for a few days before moving into our new home on Lady's Island. This was a great location for us - close to grocery stores, Grayco, and restaurants. Sallyanne's place is clean, comfortable and exactly as described. We recommend it!
Nothing out of place, clean, polite and communicative host. Couldn't ask for kore
The property is very clean and the pictures don't do it justice. We stayed here while picking up our Marine from Parris Island, and it was the best! Close to base, and a great value. You can't beat it. The beds were comfortable and everything we needed was there! Thank you SallyAnne!
It was as advertised. Nice for Marine Corp. graduation ceremonies. 20 minutes from the base. I'd stay there again.
We were there for our new Marine's graduation and the location was great. Drive is just about 20 minutes. Everything described in the post is what you see in the house. The host was prompt in answering questions too. Overall it's a great accommodation.
Great location, property is well kept, owner was very communicative
This place was even better than we expected! The cleanest, most well equipped home away from home we could’ve asked for! The location was perfect for traveling to the beach or going to downtown Beaufort. We will definitely be returning!
The coffee maker wouldn’t work and she immediately had another one delivered. The location was great. It was near everything. I would definitely stay here again!
Everything at the cottage was perfect for our use. We were coming from a long distance and arrived late, but were able to get in using the lockbox. The kitchen table was great for working. The beds (including the couch) were comfortable and the rooms dark enough to sleep. We come from a city, so it was a treat to be able to let our dog enjoy the big backyard. One of the gates didn't latch but we barricaded it from the inside when in use. We made extensive use of the kitchen, which seemed to have just the pans, etc., we needed (including a bullet for smoothies), plus flour and sugar canisters for those like us who don't go a week without baking. We made an effort to be thoughtful about how we parked, but at one point we had 3 cars and there was space for all of them. I could go on and on, but bottom line is that it suited us (4 adults, one 6 yo, and a dog) perfectly, the host was lovely, and we had a great time.
Our stay was great. The host was very quick To respond to any questions we had. The house was kept up and very clean on arrival. With a large fenced in yard we were able to let our pet run around with no worries. We would definitely stay here again.
Pictures don’t do the property justice. Very well kept and in a convenient location to the Marine Corps based, downtown Beaufort and Lady’s Island. SallyAnne went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable in our stay - can not recommend highly enough! Regardless of if you are looking for a weekend getaway or picking up your new Marine from MCRD, this should be top VRBO choice in the area!
Unit was clean and very convenient to beaches and other areas/shopping. Communication with SallyAnne was smooth and easy. Would def stay again.
I'm going to start this off with the 1 bad thing: the water pressure is terrible. I don't think it's the owner's fault...We've stayed in multiple 'beach' areas over the years and it seems to be an issue with most of them. I mention it because none of us have thick or very long hair so we dealt with it and it was sufficient but if you've got very long or thicker hair...this would probably be an issue. Other than that, everything was perfect. We stayed here for our son's graduation from the Parris Island Marine basic training. We were no more than a 10 minute drive away from the base. We were a group of 4 adults most nights and 5 adults the last night. Beds were comfortable. Air worked well. Kitchen is well stocked. All the appliances were higher end, newer appliances. We had use of the yard...a VERY LARGE yard with a 6ft privacy fence. This is a pet friendly rental and, although we did not bring our dog, had we brought him there would have been plenty of space for him to run off any excess energy in that yard. This is the fist rental we've stayed at that the owner provided so many amenities. There were more than enough towels provided to us...for us. We brought our own anyway. There was plenty of toilet paper left for us (brought our own anyway which wnded up being the same brand she had), paper towels (again....brought our own), etc etc. There was even some basic food items...spices and sugar, etc. She provided some varieties of k cup coffees and hot chocolates but again, we brought our own anyway. Lol. The real sweet touch was that the owner had left us some soaps, shampoos, chopsticks, make up remover wipes, etc at the foots of the beds. That was very, very sweet and we were all just touched that she even did that. The place was plenty big enough for the 4/5 of us. There was a fire pit outside that we enjoyed our last night here. Thankfully my parents brought fire wood. The pit was full of the scraps the lawn service picked up from the yard so there was plenty of kindling. Oh, and my husband wants me to mention that there's PLENTY of outlets. We didn't do much in the area. We came down to see our son and to go to his graduation from basic training so every time we went out it was pretty much to the base and back but there's certainly a lot to do in the area.
The property itself was beautiful, felt like being at home. The location was very close for shopping and other attractions. I would absolutely stay here again. The property manager made sure all our needs were met.
