Stayed Dec 31, 1969We booked the apartment for 2 weeks and it is a nice little apartment in a nice location, the pool is a short walk away and is very clean. There were issues with the fridge freezer which took about 3 days to start working properly and freezing items, the alarm kept going off so there was an issue there. We checked out early as we had to change our plans. As a family with young kids the apartment is naturally going to get messy. After we had left, the host contacted me, notifying that she will be claiming the damage deposit even though we did not damage anything. She claimed the apartment was left in a bad condition. She sent me photos of the kitchen with a pile of dishes and also towels that were left on the terrace to dry. Her other reason was the fact that i used an extra bed linen without her permission as well as a little bit of beetroot juice on the kitchen work top! I honestly couldn't believe what i was being charged for!! She also said that i did not take out the rubbish or empty the fridge of the few items that were left. Never have i rented a place and had to deal with the cleaning in this way! In her contract she states that she would appreciate if we could carry out this cleaning so that the change over is quick for the next guest. This is obviously for her convenience and to minimise cleaning costs. I stated to homeaway that this is not obligatory for guests to clean and it is not their responsibility, so she decided to add that there were blue marks on the walls and she had to get the walls re painted! Not once did we get hold of any thing to make marks on the walls, I am still waiting to see the pictures from the marks on the walls, but all i have is dishes and towels! A nice apartment but its unfortunate the host treats their guests in this way, if you stay here be prepared to spring clean before you check out and don't use extra linens or too many dishes!

Stayed Oct 29, 2019Well equipped apartment with a good layout, spacious balcony and modern kitchen. Two minutes walk to the large pool which has plenty of space around it, 5 minutes walk to the beach with a restaurant although it’s top end of the price range. Well positioned for all the local towns and supermarket car essential although a regular bus service runs along the main A7 road. Would recommend this apartment, Laura was really helpful

Stayed Sep 30, 2017Having visited this area of Spain on many occasions we found it difficult this time to find a suitable property for our dates until we came upon this little gem. We occupied the upstairs apartment which had an amazing sun terrace and quite possibly the best equipped apartment we have ever stayed in. Very clean and modern and situated perfectly for shops bars and beach and pool. Something for everyone here. We shall be returning.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have just returned from our 10 days stay at Laura's first floor apartment in Benamara. Quick, informative and helpful email exchange, so it was easy to find and it had everything there as described. The apartment was really nicely furnished, clean, quiet and cool with marble flooring throughout and a new kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Not to forget the A/C, which was a must in the first three days of our stay. Free Wi-Fi, but it can be a bit slow. There are bath/beach and kitchen towels. Pleasant walk to the pebble beach (bring your water shoes) through well kept and safe neighbourhood. The pool was the biggest we have ever seen and the setting just paradisiacal with all the tropical flowers and white-washed two storey houses around. Bougainvillea and hibiscus hedges! We went on day trips to Granada, Ronda and even to Gibraltar and it was always great to come back home. You can get by without a car and just enjoy a relaxed, stress-free holiday, since there are plenty of restaurants and a small (poorly stocked out of season) store in the immediate vicinity. Some shops and supermarkets on the other side of the main road, which are about a 15-20 minutes walk over the footbridge. If you want to see more or go to bigger supermarkets or malls, a car would be recommended. We didn't use public transport, but saw the buses to Marbella and Estepona (both 10 minutes by car) running regularly and there were always taxis around. We would love to come back next year. A great stay! Stephanie and Giulio from Switzerland

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have just returned from 2 weeks staying at this property. My son and daughter in law and young family rented the ground floor appartment , my wife and I rented the first floor appartment. Both apartments were spotlessly clean, superbly equipped and as described. The first floor apartment has recently benefited from a splendid kitchen refurbishment and the addition of air conditioning. The apartments are linked by a spiral staircase with an interlocking door. The property worked very well for our family. The property is set close to a large enclosed and gated communal garden with a very large swimming pool. There are plenty of loungers and parasols for all with more than ample space between, our 2 small grandchildren loved the pool and spent most of each day there . Very safe for the kids. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance , although some are accessed across a footbridge across the main A7 road, this however did not present a problem. The apartments are a short bus/taxi ride from Estepona, Marbella and Puerto Banus. The owner usefully provided a guide to nearby restaurants and attractions. The owner , Laura Shipley, was easy to contact and a delight to deal with - nothing seemed too much trouble for her , she was always amazingly quick to respond to queries. This was a very relaxing family holiday and we would thoroughly recommend this property.

Stayed Jul 6, 2016We have recently come back from an all to short stay at this property on the costa del sol. There were four adults and one 3 year old toddler, the apartment was lovely and the air conditioning very welcome went the temperature was up at 30 degrees plus! we enjoyed most nights out on the balcony bbq - ing something from the excellent local supermarkets. The pool is a stones throw from the apartment, immaculately clean and big! We spent most of our days here. The location of the apartment is perfect , just on the border of Estepona and Puerto Banus, and it is perfect for exploring. The Saturday market at Puerto Banus is a must. Laura is brilliant at giving you all the information you need for a great stay and we would definitely go again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My husband and I stayed here in June and had a fabulous holiday. The owner has recently bought the apartment and all the furnishings were brand new. The kitchen and some of the fittings are older in style (but still working well) and I believe the owner has plans to fully update the apartment in late 2015. That said, it was perfect for our needs and we ate out in the many local restaurants during the evenings - there are some very good ones up in the mountains at Benahavis and we also really liked Cocomo and the Robin Hood (just nearby!) We walked from San Pedro to Puerto Banus along the Paseo (promenade) one day - as recommended by the owner and it was a lovely walk. You can even go on into Marbella and get the boat back to Puerto Banus. The owner was very quick to get back to us and emailed us detailed driving directions and lots of information about the area before we travelled. Hiring a car at Malaga airport was easy - although we found out there is also a good bus service from the airport, so a car wouldn't be essential (particularly if you wanted to just spend the days relaxing by the lovely pool and are happy to eat in the local restaurants.) Overall we had a wonderful holiday and look forward to returning again next year - perhaps we will rent the downstairs apartment as well next time with another family.
