Stayed Aug 13, 2018Schleswig is a very interesting town to use as a base to see the local sights and Florian offers a modern and spacious apartment to relax at the end of the day. The separate kitchen was well stocked with cookware and basics. The bedroom has lots of storage space and a nice large bed. You can enjoy a hot shower in a large and elegant bathroom. There plenty of shops along the pedestrian walkway a few minutes away as well as 2 grocery stores (Netto and BIO) where you can get anything you need. There is a beautiful promenade along the Schlei which leads toward the Schloss Gottort. If you want to walk further(5 kms) to the Viking Museum in Haithabu, there is a walking trail that continues further but there is a bicycle rental on Bismark Strasse not far away. Also on the harbour promenade and a couple of minutes away in the other direction, are some nice bars and restaurants where you can watch the boats come in and out of the harbour and people watch. We spent 4 enjoyable days here and wished we would have booked a couple more as there is so much to see and do. We would stay here again!
