Mercedes - Holiday penthouse in Malaga

first, please ignore all ratings despite the overall rating...I wasn't able to submit a review without rating...The stay was cancelled one day before it was supposed to start because of a water damage caused by rain. It has been raining for 3 weeks straight, so the timing of the cancellation was a bit unfortunate, but of course it is possible that the flat hold up for three weeks and then couldn't take it anymore...The host offered us a full refund and also an alternative flat. so far so good, the reason for the one star review is the fact that the offered alternative was an inferior apartment which was offered on VRBO for a way lower daily rate than the booked stay. I accepted the offer but of course asked for the difference in price to be refunded...and the host refused. Anyways, I asked for the full refund and got it without any complications, but the offer and whole attitude was quite infuriating.

Brilliant position for exploring Malaga, loved the terrace apartment modern and well equipped. Booked again for next year. Several times lift out of action but maintenance company responded same day.

The building itself is old and not very attractive outside but the apartment itself is great.

Apartment Mercedes is the perfect place to stay in Malaga. We loved the convenience of the location, the views from both terraces, and the general ambiance of the apartment. The service was excellent also. If using the transport service, ask for Paco - he´s the best!

Very nice place with two great terraces and a magnificent view over the city. Perfect for two couples. Many good restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. We enjoyed it a lot!

We had everything we needed in the apartment. In addition, we were close to everything that we needed – shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. I would recommend this apartment – and Solaga – to anyone wanting a holiday in Malaga. I would add that Galen was more than helpful when we arrived pointing out the various amenities, etc., within the immediate area. Thanks Galen! It was appreciated.

Restaurants, museums and supermarkets nearby. The beach is only 15 mins walk away and the area feels very safe. The flat is very clean and comfortable with air-condition in all rooms. The host was very helpful and the view from the terrace is great(although I had to work a little on my fear of hights).

Apartment, location, host all 5*. Would stay again and/or stay at one of the host's other properties. We also used the airport transfer which went very smoothly.

This very clean, well equipped modernised apartment is located on the top floor of an old building. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms have everything you need for a very comfortable stay, this together with a well appointed terrace with comfortable outdoor furniture. The location is absolutely perfect for central Malaga, old town, historic sights and the many beaches, all within easy walking distance. Also on your doorstep is a more than adequate supermarket, taxi rank (cheap) and buses. There are too many restaurants to mention as you fall out of the door! We had 9 nights there and would definitely book it again! The apartment is very good, the exterior and common areas could definitely do with some attention. I wouldn’t let this stop me rebooking.
