just past the noni plantations, is Matahere’s Residence. Perched on a slope overlooking the areas luxurious interior, this grand home ticks all the right boxes when it comes to spaciousness, handiness to amenities, privacy and locale.

Matahere’s is in fact two fully self contained homes… upstairs and downstairs. Both floors are exactly the same each boasting four bedrooms with kingsize beds, two with ensuites. The bedrooms also have additional single or double beds.The two oceanside bedrooms open out to the large spacious covered verandah with stunning views of Muri. On the mountainside are the other two bedrooms and another verandah with views of the islands mountainous interior. To say the main living area is spacious would be an understatement it is BIG with a fully equipped kitchen, massive living area with a TV and sound system to match also in the common area is the roomy dining area. The whole house has been lovingly furnished and appointed by Matahere herself. The maximum number of people each floor can take is 12. This makes the home ideal for large family bookings or groups of families on holiday together.

    Was a fantastic spot close to Muri beach, snorkelling, shops, doctor chemist, hire SUP and kayaks. Saw turtles while kayaking to the close islands that you can also walk to. Great host Mike. Was perfect for 9 of us.

    The property is great. THERE was 3 couples a baby and 4 teens.Havinfg a ensuite in each of the 4 bedrooms are fantastic no waiting for showers and the bedrooms are really spacious if you want private time.The only thing I would reccomend would be a nice corner softee lounge suite would be good. The property is also in the perfect location. I will be reccomending this property to everyone I see. We alll loved it. I Come over yearly if you can reccomend something for just me and my partner in same location would be great.Thanks heaps Eddie what a great 60th birthday I had Cherie

    Weather wasn’t great but our accommodation was great! Close to Muri amenities and LBV cafe. Awesome stay

    The house was awesome. Very clean. Beautiful property. Has everything you need eg washing machine, kitchenware, microwave, decent fridge freezer, towels etc etc Good location right by murri markets and not far from murri beach. The care taker Mike that lives next to the property was awesome. Very helpful, and very accomodating. Such a nice man. This makes me not want to complain about anything at all. But, for the sake of giving an honest review as these help me on my journeys also. My only cons would be if you aren't used to a hotter humid climate, the fans might not cut it for you. We had some really hot nights but we were also lucky to have a few days of rain so it cooled down abit. Also if you have kids and think the tv will keep them entertained at night or rainy days it doesn't pickup a signal so maybe take a chromecast or something to connect to the TV that can accommodate that. This is quite common in my experience coming to the islands though. Other then that. Photos don't really do it justice it is a big beautiful house with ensuites in all 4 rooms. It is really good for bigger familys. With beautiful surroundings. And I would reccomend it to people I know would be able to handle the heat without aircon.
