Maison Orange Florence

Wonderful location, beautiful apartment with old world charm and all the modern amenities. Everything you need, very comfortable, and lovely hosts too. We recommend highly!

The private room and bathroom are in the apartment shared with the owners. They are very nice and helpful people, greeted us with drinks and appetizers; provided with a map and recommendations of their favorite places to visit and eat. The apartment is cozy and super clean. It is kind of a first floor but high above ground (no elevator). It is just steps from Uffizi Gallery and close to Dome. Because of this great location it was quite noisy at night and early in the morning (from 5 am) - merchants drugging their carts, people enjoying night life. We also got lucky that the road was under construction during our stay. Recommend this place. Please keep in mind that the protection insurance is mandatory.

Maison Orange was the perfect place to stay for my first visit to Florence. The hosts greeted me the first evening with traditional florentine appetizers, spent time going over the map and they made wonderful recommendations for the best places to eat and shop and have gelato! They provided comfortable and private accommodations .. My private bedroom and bathroom along with shared access to the kitchen and dining room, including laundry facilities. The location was perfect for exploring all of Florence and had a beautiful view of palazza vecchio. Florence is not a quiet place so there is a lot of street noise but this is easy enough to adapt to. If you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs no matter if you stay here or the five star hotel Bernini down the street. It is a very active city. As an independent traveler this was the perfect place to venture from. There is every gallery and cathedral and museum within walking distance. Every shopping area and every restaurant are easily accessed on foot. All transportation is readily available including train and taxi service. Ponte Vecchio and the river are just down the street. The hosts speak excellent English and were so friendly and helpful. They are very caring and considerate. I enjoyed my time all the more for having stayed with them. They were rarely home and very respectful of my privacy. I recommend this home for people who don't require the attention of a hotel.
