Parking was very compact. Bedroom did not have a television and seating in the living room was limited. A wing chair and a small chase lounge is the seating. Water pressure was poor in the shower.

Host was very welcoming. Such a nice clean place. Bed was really comfortable. Large shower was really nice. There are other rooms next to it. One party left their tv on all night, we could hear it. The traffic is loud but stops overnight. Downtown was too far away for us to walk but there is lots of free parking there. It was a great place to stay.

This visit was good. Every other visit has been excellent. Bed broke first night. Came to fix next day. Broke again. If you would have warned us that it really wasn't fixed and needed additional work which was done the next day we both wouldn't have gotten in bed only to have it break again. It was fixed the next day. Not complaining but letting you know thermostate in living room doesn't work. No matter how high you raise temp air still runs. I know since I was sleeping on sofa for 2 nights. All in all we still would stay no where else. See you next trip

The property was great. The location was on the edge of the strip…so very quiet but still extremely convenient. Clean and had everything we needed!

We stayed at the Old Rectory. This was just as described, it feels like a cozy quaint cottage, with ample space for 2, a spacious bathroom and comfortable bed. Will definitely book again and recommend to friends.

Close to everything in Fredericksburg. And the pool was amazing after a hot day at the flea market.

We have stayed with y'all for so many years it seems like our home away from home. Have never had this problem before but the WiFi connection did not work this trip. Would not keep us from coming back next trip Thanks for having such a great place to stay p

The house is nicely located Main Street - although it is quite a long walk to the downtown part of Main Street (where all the shops, bars and restaurants are). The linens were very nice, the bed and pillows were super comfy. The bathroom is spacious and remodeled. It is nice that it has a living space and a bedroom space separate. There is a single ice tay in the mini fridge that freezes quickly, but I would suggest having two especially for drinks in the summer months. It is nice to have th microwave...we bought little egg bites to warm up for breakfast. There is limited dishes and cups, but no utensils...so maybe a few packs of utensils like you get with carry out there would be nice. Pool and hot tub are clean and nice. We enjoyed the hot tub both evenings after our outings. Would rec.

We stayed two nights in The Old Rectory. Pros: Spacious, beautiful bathroom, nicely decorated, comfortable bed, soft sheets, good location. Cons: There was an unidentifiable smell as soon as we opened the front door. I looked everywhere for an air freshener plug in or whatever was causing the smell but I could not find anything. Maybe it was one of the disinfecting products used? Personally, I would not stay there again due to the smell.

It was our second time staying with Absolute Charm. Enjoyed the last stay but this time was less than expected. We were on our Honeymoon and I requested to have champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in the room for our arrival. Lauren told me that she would take care of it but when we arrived there was nothing. When I called her she said she had it down for the next weekend (which didn't make sense since we were only staying Monday through Wednesday. She said they couldn't have them delivered until the next day. Nothing was done to make it right. Also the bed in the Old Rectory was extremely hard. We also inquired by email to extend our stay and never got a response even though the unit was available the next day.

We had a great weekend at the Main Street Retreat! The Old Rectory was a cute two room cottage, with a sitting area which we enjoyed. The road noise is a bit loud, but it did not ruin our experience. The cottage was cozy and welcoming, we enjoyed our stay here.

The accommodations were nice. Large cottage with a nice, large living area. One problem - I could never get the water in the shower to get above luke warm. My husband had the same issue. It was tolerable in the heat - although I prefer hot showers. It would never be acceptable in the winter. Other than that small issue, it was wonderful.
