Stayed Mar 30, 2025A very special spot. Quiet, clean, beautiful view of the river. It's an easy walk into town. I'd definitely stay there again.

Stayed Apr 12, 2025Excellent, grade A location. Central to university travel yet quiet and peaceful on the Folly Bridge island. The person who answered the supplied phone number when I had an issue checking in (all on my end) acted very put-out. Not all listed amenities are free. The refrigerator had a weird smell. The bathroom is mentioned in listing as small that's true. But the only supplied image is of the sink and the layout blueprint cuts off to not include the bathroom. Just know it is smaller than . Unfortunately the shower curtain doesn't fit across the entire opening

Stayed Dec 9, 2024We were charmed to awaken each morning to the Thames River drifting by while drinking our coffee in bed. The studio is thoughtfully enlivened by art and all that we needed for our short stay was provided. The location is absolutely fantastic. Close in to the city center but far enough for quiet rest.

Stayed Jun 16, 2024This was my second stay at Folly Bridge and––hopefully!––far from my last. This time I stayed in the gorgeous riverside studio and could not have been happier. The studio is exquisite, clean and so beautiful. It is bright and spacious, and with everything I needed. I spent hours in the conservatory, working on my writing project, watching the ducks and the boats. My only regret was how brief a stay I had. I can't recommend Folly Bridge highly enough. The care with which the property is maintained and the kindness of the staff makes for a perfect stay. I can't wait to return.

Stayed Oct 3, 2023This property is a true gem. What an amazing experience - a waterfront unit in a city is not something one gets to experience often! We had an amazing time and greatly enjoyed our stay. Folly Bridge House is a charming, story-book building tucked away from the main road, so there is sense of privacy unusual in such a central location. Yet Folly Bridge House is within easy walking distance of the city center and the University’s main attractions. The caretaking staff are courteous.and helpful, and all our interactions were positive ones. This particular unit is fantastic. Although a basement unit, it is bright and airy. The conservatory is a fantastic place to sit rain or shine. I spent several hours reading while watching the Themes go by and listening to the rain patter on the glass. As the Themes is right outside the door, Ducks, geese, and even the occasional swan would come by looking for food. We picked up some folding chairs and would sit out on the dock, reading and enjoying being on the water. There are only two downsides I think worth mentioning. First, the outdoor steps leading down to the unit can need careful navigation in the dark, but their is an interior entrance as well. Second, as mentioned on the Folly Bridge House website, the bathroom is quite small. However, we found the small size much less of an issue than expected. The water pressure is great and the water is not hard (mineral heavy). We loved our stay and look forward to returning!
