Stayed Aug 2, 2025We had a great time bringing our grandson to Paris for his 16th birthday trip to Europe. We wanted a location central to many sights and we found that in this location. Great restaurants, churches and historic sites all within walking distance.

Stayed Jun 23, 2025Not as advertised.The only luxurious things about this apartment were the size and location. Both were excellent. However, between rickety IKEA chairs in need of bolt tightening, a broken shower head that flooded one of the bathrooms, and a fridge that barely kept food cooler than room temperature, luxurious feels like a stretch. Beds were comfortable. Showers that worked had nice pressure. Apartment was clean and functional. Sadly, the advertised lift, which was the primary reason we chose this rental, was out of order the entirety of our visit. We had a member of our party with mobility issues, so 4 flights of stairs with no working lift significantly negatively impacted our stay. While we know things break - especially in older buildings - the fact that it broke nearly 2 weeks before our arrival and we were not informed was upsetting. With notice, we’d have looked for another rental. When I brought this to the attention of the rental company, I was informed there was no time for them to alert us. However, in the 2 weeks leading up to our trip that the elevator was broken, I had received 10 messages from the company about other matters. So that was not accurate. They did put a notice and disclaimer buried deep in the home description, however, having secured our rental months earlier, we would not have thought to re-read the lengthy description of the apartment for key, time sensitive updates. It felt shady and dishonest.

Stayed Apr 19, 2025Great location. Communication with property manager was efficient. I felt description was a bit misleading, 4 bathrooms I would assume means 4 toilets, not the case. It was lacking any kind of amenities in the kitchen, for one nothing to wash dishes with. Really nothing in the kitchen if you planned to do any cooking, all supplies would med to be purchased.

Stayed Jan 30, 2025Best location right across from Luxembourg gardens in the heart of St. Germaine. Beautiful safe neighborhood with so many streets to wander. Great shops and restaurants. Easy walk to any of the sights. The apartment was plenty big for 5 of us. Bathrooms actually worked better with separate toilet in the hall. But apartment very sparse. Few towels provided for 7 nights and dryer didn’t work. No supplies. Ended up buying more toilet paint. We didn’t cook but would have to buy all supplies if you wanted to. Would have been nice to have it stocked with some essentials. But it was very clean and in the perfect location.

Do you want to spend time on your vacation communicating with the host to fix non-working appliances like a dryer that was deemed unrepairable on more than one occasion by their technician?Do you want to spend more of your vacation time communicating back and forth with the host on why you should not be charged for basic essentials like clean towels and linens because the washer dryer unit remains broken?Do you want to be ghosted by the host when they fail to return your refundable deposit after the promised deadline has passed?Do you want to be scammed?If the answer is yes, then this place and host will truly exceed your expectations.Had my husband and I known about all of this before we confirmed our stay with Holidays Discovery, we would have booked our 14-day stay in Paris with a different host.

Stayed Nov 26, 2024For a visit to Paris this is a terrific location--walk-able to best sites and shops. Great restaurants close. That and the large space are the positives. If you don't mind having no personal service (automated responses to all inquiries unless you get very persistent), no instructions on how anything in the apartment works, a poorly equipped kitchen that forced us to buy what we needed, a damage deposit that you have to fight to get back, and a mouse in my bedroom, this is a good choice. With more attention, this apartment could be awesome. I hope this review motivates this to happen.

Stayed Nov 23, 2024Location was perfect (near Odeon Metro) and there's an elevator. Apartment was clean. We were 5 adults so the 4 bedrooms were perfect (only 1 is en-suite with toilet and shower the rest are scattered hodge podge with 2 bedrooms having showers/sinks and the 3 bedrooms sharing one WC). Large, comfortable living room area/dining room table for hanging out. Kitchen was good (washing machine). We contacted the agency after arrival that there were only 4 coffee cups (for a place that sleeps 8 and we were 5) and never received a response or more cups which was annoying after seeing that prior guests had complained about that issue as well. Perfect for drinking wine and a DYI charcuterie board but no condiments (not even salt/pepper) so wouldn't plan to cook unless you shop for everything (not unusual, just FYI). But the reason for 3 stars is their failure to return our 500 Euro security deposit (made separately about a month before arrival) which was supposed to be returned 2 weeks after departure (not sure why it would even take that long to check for damage given we left at 9 am and housekeeping was due at 10 am). It's been over 4 weeks and despite multiple requests for a refund, I've received nothing but emails apologizing for the administrative delay. Given the hassle, solid 3 star despite nice location.

Stayed Oct 19, 2024We were extremely disappointed in the apartment, and with the responsiveness of the rental company. We rented the place on the basis of having ensuite TOILETS as well as showers in four bedrooms, and it only had two toilets. This was a huge problem for our group. In addition, the washer/dryer did not dry our clothes, the coffee machine was in bad shape and barely worked, and the place had cups and bowls for only three people, not the six of us who were staying there. The company put off our complaints and did not respond to our distress. After three days of threatening and complaining on line, they finally sent some guy who had no idea how to fix the problem with the dryer, or the coffee maker. The place was mediocre at best in terms of decor and amenities. The only thing it had going for it was the location on the left bank at Odeon, which was convenient for our planned activities. Overall, we felt ripped off and lied to and felt that we spent alot of money for little value. We hope that nobody else believes the description of this apartment, because it is not at all what is written in the description.

Stayed Jun 15, 2024Big roomy apartment in a fabulous location. You are steps from Luxembourg Gardens, the neighborhood has tons of good restaurants (the cafe on the corner is old Paris with a good simple breakfast). The apartment has a bathroom for each bedroom and is well equipped. The host is very responsive and answered all of our questions quickly and clearly. They were great. Beds were very comfortable, the apartment was very clean and well maintained and equipped. We loved staying there!!
