Lovely remodeled 2bd 1.5bt apt in a midtown #1

We arrived at the apartment at around 6pm after a long day of driving and doing touristy stuff. We rested for an hour before going out for dinner. Around 7pm, 4 people walk in the door. When we went to the door, here stands 4 people from Poland. The place was double booked. The foreign visitors were not happy! Only because we got there first, we were able to stay. We had booked over 1 1/2 months previously and the owner said VRBO did not block the date, then the other ppl booked it through a different website. I felt bad for the 2 couples from Poland but we were nervous for the night because now someone else has the code to where we were staying, while we went out for dinner. The foreign visitors were in an RV, and stayed in the parking lot until late in the night before finally moving on. As for the apartment, the beds were comfortable, it was pretty clean. The windows don’t have screens (which might be a thing in Alaska, I don’t know) and it was warm so it was stuffy in there. The living room has very little furniture. If you are going to own a place, make sure double booking doesn’t happen. It stresses tourists out. The apartment has a very detailed explanation of the VRBO rating system and tries to guilt visitors into not giving less than the top rating “or they could lose” their ability to list their property. Double booking is not acceptable.

Thank you so much for such a great stay! We came in very late at night and the place was very clean and the host had thought of everything! Plus, we appreciate the space to walk around in the unit and push a wheelchair. Nice, comfortable linens and the coffee and ice machine in the refrigerator was fabulous!

This was a perfect stopover for our group of 5 after a long day of travel. The apartment is close to the airport in a quiet neighborhood.

Jovana was very nice to let us check in early. It was a great apartment for our night in Anchorage.

The stay was very nice. We enjoyed that it was clean and well kept. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Location was also great.

I have used VRBO for over 20 years with never an issue. I booked with Jovana 10 months ago(oct 2023) and we discussed a very early morning check in.She said she understood my request.When we arrived at 1:30am we opened the door to other guests in the apartment who were suddenly awakened and scared.We apologized and left. There were no hotels available to rent. We got an uber back to the airport and slept on the benches. Jovana finally answered the phone and said she thought we were coming in at 1:30pm and would let me know when the apartment would be ready for early afternoon check in.She was rude and never apologized for the mix up.There was no communication from her until after 5 pm. She just asked if we had been able to get into the apartment? We went about our 4 night stay. On the third night Jovana called and said we were supposed to have already checked out and she had other guests checking in that night. I assured her that I had booked until the next day (Aug 11,2024). She said I had not and we needed to leave or she was going to call the police to get me out and hung up on me. I called VRBO and the agent assured me that I did have the correct booking dates and he called and confirmed with Jovana that my check out was indeed the following day. From start to finish our experience was really stressful and we were not certain what else may happen before we did check out? For being in the hospitality business Jovana was unpleasant, unorganized and condescending.

We just loved the apartment. Spacious, so lovely decorated , gorgeous kitchen. Location is also great. Very thoughtful approach to us tourists : coffee, book with suggestions for all we might need and it was useful. Thank you

A super nice remodel department close to the airport. Easy to check in and the host for easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay there again and recommend anybody with a smaller family stay

We check in late, and we're pleasantly surprised. Place was big, clean, and quiet. We will definitely stay here again.
