Stayed Jan 30, 2019We have been back to this place 2 times for a month each time. We love the location. The accomidations are adequate. We had everything we needed. It is quite rustic which suits us but not for everyone. The only thing that would stop us from going back is the Beach bar next door. It has extremely large speakers and can go on till the early hours. It makes your whole being vibrate. If it wasn't for that we would make this our annual vacation.

Stayed Dec 25, 2017The majority of our time on the island was spent in Laborie and we loved it! If you’re looking for a luxury St Lucian vacation this is not the place for you, but if you want a true island experience this is an awesome place to stay. The apartment overlooks the bay with the roar of the waters below. Whoever complained about needing earplugs at night because of the waves needed a vacation more than we did. It’s mesmerizing and we had no trouble sleeping. In fact, when we stayed in Rodney Bay I missed the waves. The noisiest aspect is Rudy John Beach and the bar playing very loud music, but you get used to it and it adds to your island experience. We were also here during the holidays which had a lot to do with the noise. The apartment is functional with everything you really need. A bath, bed, fridge and WiFi. It’s within walking distance to town and literally footsteps from the beach. Keep in mind this is a fishing town and the beach is not the best I’ve been to, but it’s certainly very popular here. We can not say enough about Tyrone. He is amazing. He picked us up at the airport, hooked us up with Mama Tilly, a ride to Castries and made sure we were comfortable the entire time we were here. He came over several times to check in on us, and we passed his own house numerous times where he made sure to speak to us. We ate all of our meals at Mama Tilly’s. She is a genuine soul. She even cooked me a special request of black eyed peas and cabbage on New Year’s, indulged us with the local juice after a night of too much rum, and gave us an island parting gift. We were invited by our local apartment neighbors to share their rum and dinner and they became fast friends; which we hung out with on several occasions. The people of St Lucia are humble and friendly. We felt very safe walking around town and the beach, and inside our apartment. For the price paid this apartment it truly is a gem. We came with no expectations and just went with the flow. Our vacation was awesome and turned into an amazing experience with a boatload of memories, photos and some new friends. If we ever come back to the island we would book this place without a second thought. Our flight was over an hour late and we arrived on a holiday. The grocery was closed so make sure you come prepared with essentials to tide you over. (Hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, snacks,a few bottled waters, coffee, etc). We hope your stay will be just as incredible as ours!!

Stayed Apr 18, 2017On our 2nd day at the apartment the municipal water was under emergency construction and we had no running water. Officials said it would only last 24 hours. Not sure we booked another rental. We contacted the owners who apologized and offered us a full refund no questions asked. We plan on returning to St. Lucia in the fall and would consider this property.

Stayed Apr 6, 2017First of all, the pictures of the nice beach below the balcony are misleading. Not sure if the photos are old or if water levels differ significantly by time of year, but we were there at the beginning of April and there was no visible sand whatsoever - it was very rocky and the water came right up to the shore. The place itself was good enough for our purposes. We spent a lot of time out on the balcony watching the waves crash in and reading, visiting, and having drinks - very relaxing. We did quite a bit of our own cooking, so one thing that would've been nice was a barbecue. The bed was old and uncomfortable and should be replaced. There is no air conditioning, so expect to sleep with the fan blowing on you all night. I also recommend bringing ear plugs, as the waves hitting the rocks is very loud. It says there is internet, but we didn't see any available wi-fi networks. As for location, it's a very short walk down to the beach park and there is a long stretch of beach you can walk along to find a space to hang out. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the heart of Laborie, where there isn't too much going on but there are a few grocery stores and bars. The people were very friendly and we always felt safe walking around, day or night. Be sure to check out Mama Tilly's for supper. Also recommend going to Salt Rush Cafe down by the pier. The property manager, Tyrone, was very friendly and hospitable. We appreciated him picking us up at the airport (no cost) and asking us if we needed anything every time we walked by his place en route to the town. All in all, if you're like us and don't care about luxury while on vacation, this place will do just fine. I do, however, find it a bit overpriced. For a similar rate, we stayed at a place in Soufriere, a town where there is a lot more going on in terms of attractions, that was newly built and had air conditioning and wi-fi.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We loved our stay here in Laborie! We had a rental car and drove around most of the island and Laborie was our favourite little town. It was laid back and quiet with just enough going on plus the beach was right there. You could walk to town in 5-10 minutes through the town or along the beach The rental was nothing fancy but was clean and had everything we need. We also loved having the balcony to hang out on, watch the sunset and the stars at night. Tyrone and the team were fantastic and made sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The cleaning lady brought us fresh towels throughout our stay and even a few homemade googies for easter. The one drawback: It is LOUD. Your are right above the water where the waves crash into the edge. It is fine during the day but at night it is very loud and relentless. Sounds like there is a huge storm outside all night long shaking the place. If you are a light sleeper this may be a deterrent. We would probably still stay there again and either know we're not going to get a full night sleep or bring ear plugs!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were very happy with our stay in Laborie. The appartment location is amazing, right next to the beach. Laborie is a very nice town in St-Lucia, perfect for a relaxing time. The peoples are very friendly and we made some good friends. We enjoyed walking on the beach to get to the town. It is not a long walk. Tyron, the guy who was in charge of us, offered us a drive from the airport to the appartement, witch was nice. After that, it felt a little bit like only want to help us and offer lift if we would pay him the ride but didn't help us knowing any other option. (Like the local bus that are very cheap, easy to find, and they're is a few during the day and night.) So in the end, I think Tyron could have been more helpful as our host. Oh well, we have been able to get buy by ourself in the end. In the end, we would recommend this place and espacially recommend spending time in Laborie. D & S

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I love Laborie and the people. David the Manger I dealt with previously in 2016 when I stayed at the apartments was honest and trustworthy. Unfortunately Tyron the current Manager is not. I am a professional, loyal person. I would never publicly be disrespectful to anyone however I feel I should warn anyone booking these apartments about the Manager. The owners of the apartments probably do not know what Tyron has done so I want to make it clear it is the Manager not the owners that have been deceitful. I transferred funds via Western Union from the UK. The agreement was that I would rent the studio apartment for one month. Originally I requested a two bedroom apartment for 3 weeks but I was informed by Tyron that I could have a studio apartment for one month for the price of 2300 East Caribbean Dollars. I accepted and agreed. I made it clear it was for one month and was informed electric was included. The electric being included was true. There is still one week left of occupancy in accordance with our agreement. Tyron has decided this is not the case even though I have a full account of the agreement. Tyron has informed me that he requires the studio apartment to be made available to him for two days, he has requested we move out of the apartment and then we can move back in. I have refused and now Tyron has informed me that I only rented the apartment for three weeks and that he requires me to leave this weekend. This WAS NOT the agreement. If Tyron had been honest and advised me of his predicament and been honest that he may have double booked the apartment I would have happily had an honest conversation with him and I would not be writing this review. He has now told me that he did not agree to one months occupancy. This is absolutely NOT TRUE. If you are the owners reading this please give the Managers position back to David who is respectful and trustworthy unlike Tyron. I feel other people who may have the misfortune of dealing with Tyron should at least be able to make a well informed decision. I have found the people of Laborie to be welcoming and friendly. Tyron should not affect your decision to stay in Laborie however if he is to remain as the Manager of these apartments my advice is do not trust him.

Stayed Jan 26, 2017We had a great time on our recent trip to Laborie. I loved the town and the very friendly and genuine people. The beach was great and always quiet. I spent hours swimming or walking in the sea. The apartment was very good with all that we needed. The only minor complaint was the mosquito's. My wife and i were bitten quite a lot. There was no screen on the bedroom window and the bathroom screen didn't fit properly so tended to get bitten whilst sleeping. Once i had bought some bug spray and spayed the apartment two or three times per day and especially late at night, then we did not get bitten much at all.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Nice access to park and the beach. The apartment was clean and neat. A couple issues with the fridge and toilet were fixed immediately and cheerfully. Tyrone and Merla were great and the locals couldn't be more friendly. It was a great place for the price. However, Sunday, the little bar in the park next door brought in huge speakers and blasted our building from 3 to 10PM. Too loud to talk in our apartment. That would be a good day for sightseeing. Otherwise, our stay in Laborie was pleasant and interesting.
