Lovely 2 Bedroom in the Heart of The Fan

This was not a good experience. We showed up around 11:00pm our first night to find that the unit had not been cleaned from the previous tenant. No clean sheets, no clean bathroom. The washing machine was full of the dirty sheets from the previous person and the trashcan was full. You can tell that there have been dogs there. We had no clean linens and couldn't go to sleep. The upstairs neighbor was playing loud music and has heavy feet. We cut our losses and got a hotel room for less. Would not recommend.

The check-in instructions were a bit unclear as to which codes went with which locks. Also, it indicated two lockboxes on the porch and there are three. Some sort of demarkation for which one to use would be helpful. The dishwasher was entirely full of dishes when we arrived. Several coffee mugs and glasses in the cabinets were dirty/dusty from being store upright for long periods. The idea that the kitchen is stocked with basics, while technically true, was a bit of a stretch as there were 3-4 of each basic item only. Beds were very comfortable. Overall the place was clean. Location great. Host is not responsive to messages.

Easy check in and a pleasant quick stay

Home was nicely furnished and clean. Since it's in a warmer climate, but not when we were there, the floors were quite cold, so we had to have the heat up for most of our time there. Also, it's a great location to walk to shops nearby.

We didnt cook but it was nice to have an ice maker that worked. We could have used a bath mat for the floor in front of the shower.

Location was ideal! Was able to walk everywhere. Unit was clean and had everything we needed. Thank you!

Please replenish the silverware. Plastic forks in the drawer was disappointing with only one actual fork. A little noisy with the upstairs tenant.

Everything was fine. Except when we were stripping the sheets as we were checking out we noticed an old stain on the mattress.

The place was super convenient to everything we wanted to do. I will say the pictures make the place look a lot nicer then what it is. Their is quite some work that the apartment needs. It was a greay neighborhood and walking distance to so many things.

This property is like represented in the listing. This was probably our 4th stay here. Very convenient to family in the Fan. Could use more utensils in the kitchen to adequately accommodate 2 - 3 people. The TV remote didn't work appropriately during this stay. Every time we wanted to turn down the volume we needed to take the batteries out. This needs attention.

Lovely little condo in a great location. I only needed it as a crash pad to shower and sleep but it would be perfect for a longer stay. Property mangers were very responsive and helpful.

Great location and AC worked very well! Street parking was not an issue. The bathroom shower was not as clean as it should have been. Host very responsive. Overall, we had a great stay!

We really liked the location. The bedroom really needs lamps on the beside tables. If you are a reader, you need to bring a book light in order to read. There were a number of things communicated after booking and a week of,that I would have appreciated knowing before I booked.

We were in town for our son’s graduation from VCU and stayed at this property. Everything about the place and the experience with Mainstay was awesome.The place was super clean, the beds comfortable, the kitchen nice and open and the wifi was super fast. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, friendly and close enough to walk to several restaurants in minutes. Communication with the property management team was easy. Any question I had was replied to in minutes and they happily met a request we made upon arrival.Myself, my wife , my mom and our 25 pound dog all enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this place 1000% to any friends, family and strangers. 10/10.

We visited Richmond to attend a wedding on Monument Ave, and this place was perfectly located in the Fan, well priced, and had bright, attractive common areas (living room, kitchen). It worked well for my wife and me and our teenage child who was traveling with us. The bathroom could use updating and there were some minor maintenance issues (no clothes rod in the master closet, closet door that wouldn't stay on the track in the second bedroom, etc.), but those did not detract from the overall pleasantness of the experience. Street parking was not an issue. Would recommend/return to this property.

Great location, clean and easy.

Property was great! Two small things that need to be change; 1. Closet needs an actual closet hanging bar, the curtain rod is not sturdy and insufficient to hang clothes during stay. 2. Need a real deadbolt.

My daughter and I stayed here for a work weekend. My daughter attended the VRLR on the Hill event and had an awesome time. We loved the location and spaciousness of the apartment.

The best thing about this place is the location. It's only a block away from the shopping district in The Fan on Carry St. I stayed here with my mom and it was convenient to have more than enough space for the both of us. The apartment is also great: nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. The only issues were the number of usable outlets and that the bathroom was a little awkward to navigate. We 100% plan on staying here again.

This place was perfect and very close to everything in Richmond. The neighborhood seemed very safe and walkable. Host was easily reachable and very helpful - would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the cottage for 4 nights while in town for a family event with our daughter’s family. Great little place. It does have two bedrooms but only sleeping for 3 adults as the second bedroom has only a daybed. Main bedroom does have a queen size bed. Apartment has a large kitchen but not many utensils. It would be nice if more spoons,forks and cooking utensils were provided to be able to cook eggs etc. Also all pillows were as flat as pancakes. Maybe some new ones would be nice. Also there were not enough pillow cases for all pillows, specifically the day bed.

We stayed one night as a group. Parking was easy and the location was excellent!

Labor day weekend to see my daughter at college. I love carytown. Quiet street. Quiet neighbors. Overrall id stay again.

This was a great home base for a weekend visit to Richmond with our dog. Easy walk to Caryrown and a bunch of other restaurants around The Fan. The apartment was clean and well equipped, and the bed was comfortable. As some have mentioned, was loud at times, especially the first night when they seemed to be walking around late into the night. I’d suggest earplugs just in case.
