Stayed Dec 31, 1969This place was very spacious and clean with full equipped kitchen. They even provided a bottle of sparkling water, pasta & pasta sauce. The washing machine was an added bonus for us as we were on a 24day road trip and didn't take many clothings. We didn't realise that we needed to bring a shower gel but the owner was very generous in letting us have theirs. The apartment/house was not in the middle of town but the tram for Central station & Dom Platz stopped right in front of the house or we could walk there ourself which we did on one occasion. The bread & coffee shop just a few meters down. The great thing was there were plenty of free parking on a side street just a few metres away. The family (hosts) was very very friendly. Ruth was so informative in everything we needed to know in the area. If I could make a suggestion to Michael, it would have beed good if the curtain be replaced to block the glare of the street light at night. Apart from this everything was great. If we ever have a chance to return to Erfurt, we would definitely come here again. Than you Michael & fam for allowing us to stay here.

Stayed Jul 31, 2017The Günther's were incredibly helpful and very supportive when we moved to Erfurt from abroad. They were very understanding and extremely cooperative. They understood our needs and did their best to accommodate us. They speak English very well. They gave us a broad understanding of living/working in Erfurt. They are a respectable family and we had a pleasant experience entering the spotlessly clean apartment when we arrived three days late at 7:00 am. They went above and beyond good hosts and invited us to a home BBQ with their friends (local sausages too). The home was close to our important location (school) and only an easy 10 minutes into town by tram which literally stops right in front of their house. We felt comfortable in this traditional period architecture (cozy) compared to what we were used to. Awesome organic supermarket five minutes walk from the sunny flat. Friendly, clean neighborhood with almost everything you may need just around the corner. We couldn't have asked for more. Excellent value. Super local hosts! Thank you!

Stayed Jul 3, 2017Our stay in Erfurt was a highlight of our vacation in Germany. This apartment was well situated for our day trips to Weimar and Eisenach. The Strassenbahn (Red Line #3, Tschaikowskistraße stop) was just out the front door, and ein Tagesticket from the vending machine our pass toward Erfurt and the “old city.” There is a Tegut grocery and a drink market just a block away, and on certain days strawberries and sausages were sold by vendors near the bakery at the corner of Friedrich-Ebert Straße and Tschaikowskistraße, just steps from the train stop. Inside the apartment, there was plenty of room for three adults, a clean bathroom, a well-stocked kitchen, and dining area that looked out over the rear patio and gardens (a charcoal grill was available, beautiful, though we didn’t use it). We did not have a dedicated parking space, but we always found at least one space open on Melchendorfer Straße on the next block “behind” the apartment. Vielen Dank to Michael and family for allowing us to stay in this great location, and get a good taste of Erfurt.
