Light, airy flat in the center of Funchal with access to all ammenities on foot.

Our host was extremely welcome and very, very helpful. The amenities were exactly as described and the whole apartment was spotless.

Great spacious accommodation in a fantastic area. Large bedroom, open living dining room and kitchen facilities. Car parking space and a 5 minute walk into the centre. Corina was very responsive with questions are queries.

Great location and amenities - we stayed for a month. 8 minutes walking to 2 grocery stores and fruit/veggy markets, 10 minutes to Old Town and downtown. Most equipped kitchen we’ve stayed in but the bathroom amenities were pretty basic - bring or simple to buy your own supplies. Apartment is super comfortable for 2 people for long stays, we made ourselves at home. A few minor issues which Corinna was quick to respond and attend to within the next hours or day. Bakery right downstairs was too convenient for a daily chinesa e pastel de nata. All in all, a great stay that I could heartily recommend!

Perfect place to stay, close to the centre of Funchal. Ideal for getting fit as everywhere is either up, or down. Bakery below the apartment sells the best pastel de nata - according to the expert!

The accomodation was everything as described in the listing. Unfortunately although the location is convenient, there is considerable traffic and dog barking noise in the evening and early morning. Earplugs are helpful for sleeping. We loved waking to the smell of the bakery on the corner of the building. The baked goods are very inexpensive. We enjoyed being able to walk to all the public transportation buses that we required to visit the entire island. Two supermarkets are a 10/15 minute walk away, making shopping very accessible.

The flat is far more spacious than it looks in the pictures and is in a great location. Very well equipped and the views from the little balcony are great. Lovely helpful hosts. Lots of life and noise outside but we always bring earplugs on holiday so not a problem. Everything within a few minute’s walk. Just perfect.

Property is ok, very noisy though,motorcycles, car traffic,,dogs barking ,one gets used to it after a while,

Correspondence was very good. Apartment was clean. This was our 4th property during our Portugal trip and had one of best locations. We could walk down to the water; there was a bakery below us. We could sit on our small balcony and had fabulous views of ocean. Corina ordered a taxi for us upon request. Our other 3 properties:Lisbon, Porto, Faro had extra welcoming amenities. None here. We wish there had been written instructions for TV, taxi numbers, where to find extra sheets. Alex did show us briefly how to use TV, but needed more info available at fingertips. We had just stayed at a property that had a binder with very detailed information on all aspects of property and area. I guess we were spoiled. Because of location and balcony, we would stay at apt again. Sandi MI, USA

We wish we stayed longer... We had a lovely stay at Corina's apartment for the short 3 days in Funchal. Alex and Corina were great hosts. Loved the location and the beautiful view from the flat. It is a 10 minutes walk into the town. The cafe downstairs was very handy. We would definitely recommend the place to our friends. if we have another holiday in Madeira, we would love to book again, surely for at least a week. Thank you Corina.

We enjoyed everything about this apartment, especially the location. The view from the balcony was beautiful. We walked to Old Town, grocery stores, and the waterfront Prominard. It seemed like there was a bakery around every corner. There was a variety of shopping, restaurants, cafe’s, gelato shops and museums close by. You can rent a car, but the local cab drivers are courteous, knowledgeable and well priced. Corina and Alex are perfect hosts. They helped make our stay very special.
