Large three bedroom by the seaside promenade

The property does have excellent areas and the location is excellent. You can not go wrong with this choise.

The apartment was a lot bigger than we expected. We had amazing views of the sea and mountains from the balcony. Plus another large balcony and views from the kitchen. Location is great in terms of convenience, very close to beach, lido, shops and restaurants. The number 2 bus and the hop on and hop off bus was directly at the building.

We were five adults aged between 80 and 35, and a small child under 2 years old, who rented this fantastic apartment. We were very satisfied with everything.We didn’t have access to a car, although there were garage spaces available. We chose to get into Funchal city either on foot or by Taxi/Bolt.There’s a good grocery store nearby — but it’s up a steep hill, so if you have limited mobility, you might need a car or someone to assist you.There are both swimming spots and good restaurants in the area, and we can truly recommend trying Aconchego Restaurante Bar — it may not look like much, but the food is excellent.Simply a great place to stay.

This was our third time staying at this property. Joe's brother Nelson and his wife Ana greeted us when we arrived and were excited to show us all the upgrades Joe has done. New furniture in the living room, a new cabinet beside the table in the kitchen, new dishes and pots and pans and both bathrooms totally renovated. We love the location on the water and everything you need just a stroll away. We are hoping to return next year.

The apartment wasn't as described - it was better! The location was perfect - out of the city, but close enough to get there quick. A large balcony and view to die for, Plus another large balcony and views from the kitchen. It was the most well equipped place I had stayed in ever, complete with a clothesline and pegs to hang washing for longer stays.The apartment was huge and comfortably slept all 3 of my teenage children. I would definitley recommend.

Everything was a good fit. The location of the apartment was just right for us. Directly at the promenade, with ample shopping opportunities and in walking distance to Funchal center. The bus stop was directly at the building. The apartment itself was spacious as advertised. We had a very easy time with 5 people and enjoyed the big living room. Contact with the owner was a breeze. If we had a question or request, everything went smoothly. Absolutely recommended!

We have been to Funchal on previous trips to Madeira, so we booked this apartment to be close to the beach, above the pools at Doca Do Cavacas. This location is great, also close to some restaurants and a small grocery store for essentials, in the same location. The rooms in the apartment are large, and the bathrooms are new and clean. There are plenty of towels and sheets, but bring your own bath soap, etc. We appreciated having 3 sets of keys and underground parking. There isn't air-conditioning, but we kept windows and balcony doors open for good cross-ventilation. We noticed the hardwood floors were not clean when we arrived (our bare feet were always dirty), and there was a communication barrier when we needed a friend to translate for us for the agreed-to check-in meeting. And I feel obligated to mention a safety issue. Beware that the door handles to the balconies are one-sided, that is, when you are out on the balcony, do not close the balcony door because the handle is ONLY on the inside of the apartment. There is no way to get inside if there isn't someone to let you in. Friends of ours in another unit were locked outside on their balcony for over an hour when their other occupants were out for dinner. This situation would be a building code violation in the U.S. I offer this as a caution to future renters. Overall, we liked this apartment, and would stay again.

The apartment was as described, nice and spacious with a good view of the sea. Location is great in terms of convenience, very close to shops and the local beach. Communication with the owner was good, our kettle turned out to be broken and we messaged them and they brought a new one same day. We had a problem checking in only because the contact number was not working for us, in the end we found it worked if you added 003 at the start of the number, this may have been in the information sent to us but we couldn't find it at the time. Once the call went through they came over very quickly to let us in. Unfortunately one thing that disturbed our stay was that the upstairs neighbours are loud, they get up early (5am) and have the TV on late, chairs scrape on their floors, this would be fine except for you can hear everything coming through the ceiling. The road noise is also loud if you are in the bedrooms that are next to the road. For this reason if you are noise sensitive or a light sleeper I would recommend bringing earplugs. This is not the hosts fault, we just found it a bit noisy for us personally. Other than that, a lovely stay in a nice apartment with helpful hosts.

The apartment was beautiful, two couples stayed perfectly. The area was very nice, away from tourist. But very easy to get anywhere you want. Bus stop right in front of the building. There’s a lot of hills! But there’s a walk down the steps through a tunnel and beautiful rock beaches several restaurants close by.

I had a nice stay. The owner was very polite and helpfull. I surely recomend this appartement.
