ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Wilmington is a city so we advise being aware of your surroundings. Our neighborhood is very urban; since this is not a tourist area, you will notice the setup is not like a 5-star hotel; but we strive to keep our unit updated and well-kept for our guests!
COMMUNITY DESCRIPTION
Wilmington’s status as Delaware’s largest city and the economic engine gives us a big-city feel while our scale and walkability preserve some small-town charm.
Our city is located 30 minutes south of Philadelphia, mid-point between New York and Washington DC. Because Wilmington is right in the middle of it all, the city boasts excellent connections to the region as well as to national and international destinations from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), Wilmington Airport (ILG), Amtrak / SEPTA Wilmington Station (WIL), I-95, and I-495.
Rich in history, Wilmington offers a unique blend of old and new. Old Swedes Church was erected in 1698 and is still in use, and the Harriet Tubman Byway of the Underground Railroad runs right through downtown Wilmington.
On Market Street, Willingtown Square hosts several of our oldest residential structures, and Rodney Square is our central public space that honors Delaware's vote for colonial independence. The street is dotted with beautiful, historic buildings and ornate architecture brought back to life with new uses for a new age, right in the heart of the city.
In Wilmington, we are proud of our history and ambitious about our future. Don’t miss out on the ride.
Great property and wonderful communication with the manager. The place was clean and well organized and worked perfectly for our 6 day stay. The kitchen is wonderful and the beds are all comfortable. The only catch is that the walls are thin and the property is in an urban area, so you can hear lot's of things outside while sleeping. Otherwise, wonderful property and wonderful visit.
My family of 11 gathered in Wilmington for a memorial service. We were familiar with this particular section of Wilmington and had some reservations about the unit upon arrival. However, after entering the property, we were plesantly surprised. This 5 bedroom 3 bathroom beautifully refurbished brownstone was more than spacious enough to accommodate us all. The decor, the furniture and kitchen layout allowed our stay to be high end and comfortable. There were just a few minor additions we would have liked. There were no oven mits in the kitchen and only two knives. Although we had more than enough towels there were only 3 bathcloths. The mattresses were all plush and memory foam however they were a bit too soft and it made us feel like we were sinking in the middle. A box spring or some wooden slates would be an easy great addition. The house comes equip with all new furnishings including Wifi, Smart Locks, Smart Fridge and Updated Nest Digital Thermostat. In our welcome book were directions on how to operate them however for my older parents who arent as technologically savy they struggled a bit getting into the unit and adjusting the temperature. Please dont let the neighborhood deter you from staying at this lovely unit. Steve and his property management team did an amazing job with communication and response time. When visiting the greater tri-state area, it would be our pleasure to stay in one of his properties again.
We were pleased with our stay in this nice Wilmington home. Pictures on the site are accurate. Very spacious and clean.
House is beautiful with lots of character, extremely spacious. Listing is very accurate to what we experienced. The communications were great. Beautiful full kitchen, could use a few essentials. Overall awesome place and would definitely rent from again.
This was a nice clean spacious place. One of the beds needed fixed but we adjusted it and Steven said he would get it fixed properly. Neighborhood isn’t a place where you would take a walk but we never felt unsafe there. Close short drive to some nice areas downtown.
