Very nice place and we had great comunication with the host! Bear Hug was a great place to stay in order to visit Gatlinburg and Dollywood. A little bit of a drive but nice to stay in an area that was not congested at all. It was close to the lake and I'm sure would be a great place to stay in the summer when the lake has not been drained. The place was also good for a dog and very comfortable for the humans as well! Thank you so much, Sonja! It was also great to meet you! If we are in your area again at some point, we would definitely stay at Bear Hug!
So close to everything without the traffic and hustle and busell. Place had no stairs to climb, easy access, quiet and cozy. Great use of space!
This was a quick get away for my wife and I. The location was excellent and the view of the lake was nice. We had a couple of issues with getting in the unit and bathroom items but it was handled by the host in short order.
This was a perfect “base camp” for exploring hikes in the Cherokee and Pisgah National Forrests and visiting family in Morristown. Very clean and comfortable, neighbors were quiet, host was helpful. The view from this hilltop of the water and surrounding mountains is so beautiful. One thing to note, it is a basement unit and there were no windows so it’s not a great place to hang out indoors; however, we were outside the whole time so this was not an issue for us! There’s an outdoor patio overlooking the vista that’s perfect for morning coffee.
Exactly as listed - spacious, clean, charming place with friendly hosts, easy check-in, and great amenities. Woke up to a stunning sunrise before checking out. Many thanks!
Our host was awesome everything was just perfect . We enjoy the delightful town of Danridge this has been my third visit to enjoy Douglas Lake and looking forward to more trips . Pat & Jerry
It was a nicely remodeled basement but only 1 television and no thermostat downstairs. It had great views of the lake and a great location.
This was a great place to stay. It is close to Sevierville/Pigeon Forge, which was our destination, but we want to come back to the area to enjoy the lake sometime soon! The basement is perfect for a small group to stay.
