Stayed May 24, 2025A lovely cozy space, steps from the Tom Patterson theatre. Surprisingly quiet and well thought out for privacy details, given the home is on a busy street. I actually live in Stratford but I used this space as my bridal getting ready suite. The room was charming for photos with the 4-poster bed, sitting area with French doors, and gorgeous woodwork. We also slept here on the wedding night after the reception and the bed was very comfy. Parking is tight but also well thought out. Would highly recommend!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This little suite was perfect! Cute, clean & comfortable, with all the amenities you can find in a great hotel but with the charm of an inn. Brett, the host of Henry House, makes sure you have everything you need and are well taken care of. Suite is a short 3 minute walk away from restaurants and boutiques, could not ask for a better location. Will definitely return if I am back in Stratford.

Stayed Nov 8, 2025This place was perfect! It was our first time in Stratford and Henry House was exactly what we were looking for. Very close to the main core of restaurants and theatre. Brett was super helpful and communicated everything early and often and was very responsive. I had made a special request for an ice bucket with ice and champagne glasses and it was ready to go as we arrived! The front room in the Lake Suite was the best part. We spent lots of time sitting on the sofa and enjoying the views of the river nearby. The bed was large and comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a unique experience for their trip to Stratford.

Stayed Sep 4, 2024If you've attended the Stratford Festival, chances are that you have walked past this charming cottage on Waterloo street just at the very edge of downtown. The location is basically perfect. It is roughly a 2-minute walk to the Tom Patterson Theatre, perhaps 5 minutes from the Avon and maybe 15 pleasant minutes along the lake to the Festival. It is close to most of Stratford's best restaurants. The building itself appears mostly to be a cottage divided in half with two one-bedroom suites. We had the Lakeview Suite, which was very nice and well-decorated. I would note that while, yes, you can see the lake from the porch/sitting area, it's not quite on the lake (because, as to the location, the Tom Patterson Theatre is almost next door). The suite itself consists of a bedroom with dramatic 4-poster bed, a private bath, and what appears to be an enclosed porch that serves as the sitting area/office/kitchenette area. The kitchenette is mostly a cupboard with microwave oven and coffee machine. In our case, we ate out every night, so we were fine (plus they gave us some very good restaurant suggestions). You are also about 90 seconds from the edge of town, where there are many cafes, restaurants, etc. The communication with the owners is very good and they were highly responsive. This is a good alternative to a hotel, and has comparable amenities to what we might expect at a nice hotel suite, plus the location is great.

Stayed Jun 13, 2024My wife and I spent two nights at the Henry House while visiting Stratford. We couldn't have been more pleased The room was comfortable and well appointed and we especially enjoyed the bright sunny sitting room just off the bedroom. The house is ideally located making it an easy walk to the Stratford Festival theatres and a multitude of great restaurants and pubs. Highly recommended!

Stayed Aug 24, 2023Being a photographer and it being Stratford, I rented the property for an Elizabethan photoshoot. My model and her partner were the ones to stay overnight. For photography it is a dream: wide expanse of windows across the front, rich wood panelling in the sun room, rich wood four poster bed, elegant antique furniture, a stone's throw from the Avon River. For theatre goers it is an excellent location only steps from the Tom Patterson Theatre, and easily walkable to the Festival and Avon Theatres. The owners are very approachable, helpful and available. Brett in particular was incredibly kind to me as a photographer, providing me with valuable help and indulgence. I have no hesitation whatever in recommending Henry House. I know it's where I'll be staying if I'm going to be staying in Stratford overnight in the future.

Stayed May 11, 2023Around the corner from the Tom Patterson Theatre, 1.5 blocks from downtown--you just can't beat this one for location! Once I parked my car on my arrival I never had to move it through the rest of my visit. The suite was nicely decorated and impeccably maintained. Communications with the owner were great. Give this one a try!!
