Stayed Aug 4, 2023A lovely week spent with 4 generations of family. Ideal layout with downstairs bedroom and shower. Lovely garden. Would benefit from a fence and gate to make secure for dog and children but we had a fantastic time and would return.

Stayed Apr 4, 2022The property was ideal for three generations getting together. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom was perfect for our2 year old granddaughter and her parents. The rest of us had plenty of room upstairs and the sitting room with the balcony with views of the lake is lovely. The kitchen and sitting room are spacious and the parking is good. The local cafe and restaurant serve good food during the day. The Dolphin pub is a few minutes walk up the road, but probably need to book a table for food in advance

Stayed Jun 8, 2018Lake Cottage is a very comfortable, well appointed, spacious house in a lovely location in Thorpeness. It has views of the Meare and a large garden surrounding the house (nb no gate to keep very young children inside the garden). I would highly recommend it for families or groups of friends as it has 5 large bedrooms and three bathrooms. A large extendable dining table with plenty of chairs in the big kitchen/dining area makes it very comfortable for meal times with larger numbers. Comfortable sitting room with 2 large sofas and 3 armchairs. The upstairs large hall area is a good place for children to play. There are two fridges as well as a freezer - also important for larger groups.
