La Baronne- Chaleureux T2

La Baronne loved the city. overall good stay. apartment was a bit dirty and smelly (we*d and sewage), and door was so difficult even the agent couldn’t get it. wouldn’t recommend if you have arthritic hands! more convenient of a stay if you’re planning to eat out a lot - not very many useful cooking utensils. requested 2 keys which they gave us, but only one front door key to the building so 2nd set of keys was useless. messaged for a second and had no response. they had asked if we wanted sofa bed set up which we said yes and they didn’t do - room was set out for 2 people instead of 3. comfy beds, nicely furnished apartment. do not recommend for young girls or any women travelling solo - we received a lot of harassment from men at the bar next to the building including being followed a couple of times! not the agencies fault of course but something to note to others. good value for a pretty apartment.

La Baronne Nantes has it all, art scene, social scene and a fantastic night life! ? Excellent service from the staff, lovely and clean. ? Great location… it was easy to explore Nantes and discover all the beautiful hidden gems the city has to offer on foot. As someone who enjoys walking it was an excellent location to go back after long strolls in and around the city.

La Baronne Very beautiful and clean space near the city centre.

La Baronne This apartment is in a great location - about 15 minutes walk from the island and 10 minutes walk to the centre and there are bakeries on either side, just a few doors away. The agency was very responsive. Although it was a hot week, the apartment was nice and cool. the bed is very comfortable. You can see that a lot of care has been taken in selecting everything in the apartment decor-wise, which is well equipped with everything you need. Very thoughtful also that there were guidebooks on what to see in Nantes and where to eat. Also much appreciated that tea and coffee were provided. The only problem we had was that the television wasn't working upon arrival. Our host did offer to ask someone to come and fix it but we declined since we didn't want to have to wait for a repair person to come during our holiday and preferred to spend our time out. La Baronne I’ll start with the positive feedback since it helps to receive the negative. The apartment is dark and relatively cool even on a hot day (however the shades on windows don’t close completely so good luck if you need that to sleep). The location is also very good to do almost anything in Nantes. But here’s what we didn’t like. There was a strong smell of mold in bathroom and bedroom. The pillow cases in the bedroom smelled like someone had recently used them. We used the two rolls of toilet provided between the four of us (we were there four days) then asked the property manager for more. She told us we are allowed two and that’s it. So be sure to come prepared with some toilette paper if you plan to stay more than a couple days. Overall this place is not worth the price. The company is obviously willing to sacrifice your comfort (and possibly health) to eek out a little more profit. I hope for future occupants that they do something about the conditions we found the apartment in.
