The guesthouse is nestled behind a large privacy fence and large yard. It's extremely private. The main house is often with guests or business visitors. The only shared portion of the property is the courtyard garden. The guesthouse is decked out in our upcycled, diy, vintage goods as we are local vintage and architectural store owners and love to reuse and repurpose. This house is named after our autistic daughter that helped design it. The property is home to a handful of very friendly feral cats that we promise won't approach you if you aren't a cat person.
Great apartment close to everything. The place is older but still very nice and equipped. Owners are amazing.
We love this place. Second time visiting, and will be back again. Check in is easy, accommodations are comfortable, and the host communicates well.
Very comfortable and cozy. Easy to get to. The bed was SO COMFY! I had a little issue checking in.... But Joy was not far away and was there in less than 5 minutes to rectify the situation.
Close to Raymond James Stadium. Host is super responsive. Great place to stay.
We had a very nice visit, the guest house was clean and the owner was very nice over text. The check-in message was quite lengthy but everything was easy to do. The only complaint is that the lock on the front door would get stuck often. We would lock the door at night and in the morning was struggling to get it open again. Besides the lock, everything was great and we had a great stay. Thank you!
Couldn’t or maybe shouldn’t walk through neighborhoods, close for Uber rides. Ybor is a very nice city to visit.
This was a great place for us to stay - it was beautiful, cozy, comfortable and the overall look and feel of the place gives off this beautiful, nostalgic vibe. The place was warm and well-appointed - really could not think of anything more that they could have provided. And the owner was very nice - had great communication and cared that we had a wonderful stay. ??
Comfortable and well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here. The host communicated perfectly, and the until met what we wanted for a short getaway. The location was excellent, bot too far from downtown Tampa or Ybor City. We'd definitely stay again.
I was wondering what the expectation would be like but I personally enjoy the stay.
We stayed for 2 nights while attending a wedding near by. The place was quite charming and spacious. The owner was extremely responsive and pleasant to deal with. Would definitely recommend this private and quiet cottage:-)
After we booked this non-refundable vrbo, The host sent a long-winded message with additional rules and regulations that were not in the original listing. The listing advertised that they don't charge a cleaning fee but then after we booked it, we were told that's because guests are expected to clean the unit. There were dead lizards and bugs lying around as well as termite and mouse droppings on the sign above the bar. The bar had live roaches and there was a colony of ants in the shower. (I do have photos and videos of everything). There were no tissues, paper towels or plates provided, which was a real bummer since the only hand towel smelled like mildew. The trash can was broken, as were most of the decorations around the unit. The ice box in the wobbly little fridge desperately needed to be thawed out (it was so covered in ice that there wasn't room to actually use it and the ice kept dripping all over our food). Many of the linens and pillows had obvious stains. The soap dispensers appeared to have been refilled with plain water and the scrubber for the sink was so moldy that we could smell it from feet away. Every window had shutters permanently nailed over it, so there was very little light. Some bulbs were burnt out. The only mirror in the entire unit was the small one on the medicine cabinet, which was really inconvenient. The string used to latch the front gate was very difficult to deal with and we wasted a lot of time struggling to get it latched. I asked the host for the check-out instructions on the first day we arrived, but she ignored the question and didn't send them until the middle of the night before the morning we checked out. I wish we were given that information sooner because we were hoping to get all that done the night before, so that we wouldn't be scrambling the next day. Oh, and the tenant at the main house told our door-dasher that our food was his and immediately scarfed down half of it before we even got a chance to come out and get it. I was honestly impressed by his speed haha. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience and i don't think it was worth what we paid.
