Island Life #7 Beach Club AMI RVA

We have enjoyed our stay here. It’s quiet. The beach is so close, right across the street from us. It has been very relaxing.

Great location

Except for a couple of gals who were really noisy the property is excellent! Across the beach, has a heated jacuzzy and cozzy pool

Great location. Very clean. Greeted by helpful staff member. Room was advertised with a pull out sofa bed. It was instead a full stationary bed taking up much room in a small space. No options available for a cot or air mattress. Plumbing needs work. Loose fixtures and a toilet that would occasionally get stopped up not through our fault.

Nice location. Clean. Plumbing a little funky, loose kitchen spigot, toilet would occasionally stop up not due to us. A few more amenities would help like salt and pepper oil and vinegar which most places have. Advertised with a pull out couch but it was a double bed leaving much less space in this small room. It would be nice to have a cot on hand as they do in hotels for special circumstances. Staff and everyone we met were very agreeable, being from the North we’re not use to it but loved it.

Excellent location near the beach. But we got small room and the bed was in the kitchen, small and unconfortable. We asked to get another room and they helped us after a phone call.

Very nice place! Only issues were floor cleanliness and parking. If you walked in your bare feet, they got dirty. Parking was an issue on Saturday only. Only open spots were handicapped. Other than that, great location and nice amenities! Will stay here again.

The best about this location is the “personal” touch. There is a “front desk” person there during reg business hours. After hours they pick up IMMEDIATELY. Great location with beach just across the street. Nice pool and room with laundry facilities, full kitchen etc. like being home but on vacation. Best for the price. We shopped around and for 3 nights with those fees just more than $500

Clean rooms, pool and hot tub looked dirty. Keys were in bix when we arrived. We tried 3 times and never saw anyone in the office so stayed our 2 nights and left.

Great location, but terrible management. The property management team was highly unresponsive after we found blood stained sheets in our room… which we didn’t notice until the next morning. Disgusting. I had to make multiple calls for the issue to be addressed by on site personnel, and was asked ridiculous questions about the size, shape and location of the blood stains on the sheets before they sent new ones. Later that day, the on site person came back by and said he would be talking to his manager about making the issue right. However, after a week of waiting, and leaving multiple voice mails with the corporate office, I’ve yet to hear from anyone.

Location was perfect. We enjoyed being able to walk across the road to the beach. We discovered the rooftop deck on our last night there. What a treat. We aren’t huge fans of Murphy beds, but that is personal preference.

Check in was great! The pool and location was great also.

They gave me a different and much smaller room than I had reserved.

The room was very clean and the management was flexible. Good access to the beach and restaurants.

Listing sounded great, but overall dissappointed. No couch, smaller bed, appliances pretty rough. Pool and hot tub were not working which wasn't published anywhere. The location was great for beach access. View was beautiful. Listing showed a couch for picture but no couch just a hideaway bed that folded into wall. I thought way overpriced for what offered. Lipstick on a couple coffee cups too. Toilet stopped flushing but was fixed right away next morning.

Good location for a reasonable price. The plumbing/shower was a pain and when the AC kicked on in the middle of the night, the screaming sound it made woke me every time. Also, don't run out of TP or other essentials because management was impossible to get hold of, we bought our own. It is just across the street from a nice beach area and a good option.

Open the door and the bed is right there and in bed you have a view of the stove. No sofa. However, very clean, everything works, washer/dryer, full stove, fridge, water pressure in the shower great, hot water, bed comfortable

This trip was going to be different. It was just my daughter and I. We wanted easy access to the beach and all that the island has to offer, along with simple accommodations. Our stay turned out to be the most perfect spot for us. From the staff, to meeting wonderful people who were by the pool and had glowing reviews of past years here, to the sundeck and easy walking to anything we needed, this place was wonderful. It had every amenity we needed in one compact room. We didn’t need a huge house this time because we were out exploring and enjoying the island. When we returned in the evenings, it was a retreat. Thank you so much for an amazing vacation and tons of wonderful memories with my daughter. We certainly will be back.
