Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have come to Island House Beach Resort yearly for 30 years. We've stayed in this unit a couple of times. It is clean and well-maintained. It is one of the few not been updated. The kitchen has white older cabinets and green corian countertops, but the view is amazing and what we want! The furniture and Carpet are new and beautiful. The great thing about this unit is that it has two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom, but they both have tubs, which was not ideal for my Mother-in-Law.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been staying at Island house since 1980, this year I had the worst experience of my life. We arrived on Saturday June 29th and Sunday the AC stopped working and would not start. I started to call the emergency number and no answer. I sent numerous texts and still no answers. We had to sleep in an 80 degree apartment all night taking walks several times throughout the night to the car yo sit down in the car and cool off. Monday morning I called the office and reported the situation, the AC was repaired after 1:00pm on Monday. Like it already was not enough on Friday, July 5th again the AC stopped working and again no one answered my texts or calls on the emergency number. We again slept in 80 degrees which caused my blood pressure to skyrocket because of the situation we were in, I didn’t pack up and leave since the next day was my check out because of my blood pressure and exhaustion. I am very dissatisfied with my stay the property management lacked the personnel to answer emergencies and my stay wasn’t enjoyable 3 days wasted because of the lack of guest relations.

There are a few things I’d like to mention the would make the place more enjoyable. 1). The bathrooms need updating2). The kitchen ceiling fan needs to be fixed. It shakes a lot almost seems it’s going to fall off. 3). The bedroom (with the blue bathroom) has a light out in the ceiling fan and also the lamp between the twin beds is very loose when you attempt to touch it4) There needs to be a ceiling fan and a light outside on the porch.

There was a guy on a crane working in front of our patio for 4 days. We were not informed of this or would have stayed elsewhere. Unit should not have been rented if noisy construction is going on.

The space was awesome, the rooms were perfect and the table in the living area was FABULOUS for our nightly Shanghai card games! We would have used the lanai more if the seating was better. One chair was broken. The other was starting to rip. This did not deter our wonderful experience. I did leave a voicemail and an email for the office but neither message was answered.

One bedroom needs to have a queen bed. Take a look at the entrance door with paint flaking to give you an idea of the inattention paid to this unit. took 10 days to get a light replaced in bathroom. Not good.
