IDEAL Val de Grace / Luxembourg Gardens: Large Flat

This was a great and calm location for our family! Plenty to do at the nearby gardens and a short bus or train ride to the heart of Paris. The apartment itself was well stocked and perfect for our family. Thank you!

We stayed for 8 nights with 3 adults and 2 kids. The beds & sofa bed were comfortable for all of us. We did laundry several times and appreciate that they left laundry pods for us to use (clothes are line dried, but didn’t have an issue with things not drying overnight). They provided a few games that my 5 year old was obsessed with. Perfect for a little down time in the afternoons. The building has an elevator - no taking luggage up and down the stairs. I can’t say enough about how perfect the location is. Steps from Luxembourg station, a grocery store, bakeries, restaurants…the perfect Paris location. It was so easy to get to all the attractions, plus parks for the kids (we played at Montsouris a few times). Luca was so kind and accommodating when our travel plans caused delays with our departure and arrival.

Pluses: Very good property. Good communication with owner who lives in the same building. Very roomy. Reasonably convenient tlo Metro and RER, restaurants and grocery stores. Minuses: The apartment has no cross-ventilation and no A/C, so mid-summer use can be uncomfortable. Owner has two small fans that only help a little. No microwave and limited lighting for reading or relaxing.

We needed a place to stay for 1 week while I attended a nearby conference and my family explored Paris. This flat is located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood, steps from the Parthenon and Luxembourg gardens. The sofa bed was comfortable. It got stuffy on the warm nights because there is no air conditioning. We would have appreciated fans for all the beds.

Great little flat by Luxembourg Garden. Quiet residential area.Close to the metro, and lots of great cafes. Our host was super accommodating and hospitable. With 2 full bedrooms plus sofa sleeper in living room, family had plenty of room/space.

This lovely two-bedroom apartment with a fold-out couch in the main room was perfect for my mother, my son (age 11) and myself. The small kitchen allowed us some basic functionality; the TV gave my son a break from us every now and again; the bathroom included a wonderful shower and even a washing machine. All the windows give on to a small quiet courtyard. The only thing we could have wished for is A/C since we visited during a heat wave - but even then, the open windows at night were nice. Sylvette is very responsive and even delighted my son by offering cookies when we arrived. She showed us how everything worked & was always an email (or call) away. The apartment is very close to the RER-B, which makes for an easy trip from the airport, and in addition to being right by the Jardin du Luxembourg, it's within 1.5 km of places like Notre Dame and the Catacombs (closer, I think) - and even closer to the Sorbonne, the Latin Quarter, the Pantheon, and more. Our hostess Sylvette was super sweet and accommodating. The place is great and very comfortable. We were greeted with Champagne and macrons and bubbly apple cider for kids! Everything is super close. RER is 5 mins walk direct to CDG. Also many other bus routes. Would stay here again!
