Stayed Apr 16, 2024This unique, gorgeous property was the perfect jumping off spot for our weeklong Puglia adventure. The owners, brothers Enrico and Mario, were the ultimate hosts, personally welcoming us on arrival and making sure we had everything needed for our stay. The trulli bedroom was a fantastic cave-like structure where it seemed impossible not to get a good nights sleep as it was so dark. And the outdoor, very well-stocked kitchen had everything needed for cooking meals at home. (The coffee they provided was incredible, btw…) The property is in a gated community and has a short path to a private stone beach, and there are pomegranate, orange, lime and lemon trees in the property’s orchards, along with cacti and many wild herbs. The fragrance is incredible! It was a great stay for the three of us and we would love to return someday. Thank you Enrico for your hospitality and recommendations! And for a pizza dinner on our last night! Unforgettable.

Stayed Jul 13, 2019We were looking for a genuine experience close to the sea. We found it here, and more. The trulli are renovated to a high level of design and comfort. The bathrooms are well thought out, new and everything is super clean. We spent most of the time outdoors in the beautiful, vast gardens. Our breakfasts overlooking the sea or the barbeques in the evening were just wonderful. It is a 2 min stroll down to the peaceful pebble beach, so you can have your swim before breakfast with a beach just to yourself. To stay in Trulli sul mare was a truly unique and wonderful experience. The setting is marvellous, natural and secluded but within a gated complex of holiday homes so there is both privacy and safety. There are a lot of great restaurants and beaches nearby. Our host Enrico did not only provide the best capsuled coffee we've ever had, brought fresh fruit from his garden and had great advice for any of our plans, he was also a great person to talk to and spend time with. I wish we would have had more of that, it was really nice to meet you Enrico!! We had the best time here and we warmly recommend this place to anybody. Don't miss out on this gem!

Stayed Jun 11, 2019The Trulli sul mare were a wonderful discovery and made for a great vacation. Located just steps from a lovely pebbled beach, the property is spectacular, with views of sun, sky and sea. The old stone buildings have been beautifully restored, and are very comfortable while maintaining their ancient character. The outside, shaded kitchen is a lovely addition that keeps you connected to the natural beauty of the outside environment. The beautiful and lively port town of Trani — with its stunning seaside cathedral — is 5 km to the south; the picturesque fishing village of Bisceglie is just a couple of km to the north, with lovely fish restaurants, pizzerie and bars. Enrico, the architect who designed the restoration of the trulli, and his brother Mario are knowledgeable, helpful and generous hosts who provided wonderful recommendations about the the property and surrounding area. Many thanks to them. We, a family of three, felt very lucky to stay in this very special place

Stayed Jul 13, 2018I had high expectations for this part of our trip and they were exceeded. Our host, Mario, was friendly, welcoming and communicative. The property is absolutely breathtaking- quiet, scenic, spacious. The trulli/buildings are carefully refurbished, beautiful and comfortable with great water pressure and internet. I loved the outdoor kitchen most of all- so practical and well-planned. The beach is only a 3-minute stroll from the gate and it’s gorgeous. It’s a rock beach, so you won’t even go home coated in sand. We loved it, hope to return soon. Oh, last thing! The restaurants in the surrounding area were GREAT. Very few tourists, all local cuisine.

Stayed Jun 25, 2018We loved staying here. It was so peaceful and the gardens overlooking the sea were beautiful. It's really unique and we'd never stayed anywhere like it before. We appreciated personal touches like there being provisions on arrival including fruit from the gardens and Enrico picking us up from the station. We loved the outside kitchen and seating areas which really made the stay so special. We spent time beachcombing and walked into Bisceglie along the beach and coastal path one day and into Trani with its beautiful cathedral along the main road and sea path another. Had some great seafood overlooking Bisceglie harbour and pizzas in a seaside restaurant in Trani. We only stayed for 2 nights at the end of our holiday and didn't want to leave. We would recommend staying here.

Stayed Nov 19, 2016This amazing property is lovely beyond words. The unique building with such an interesting history on the edge of the sea was perfect for restoring your spirit or having adventures. The outside kitchen has a twin inside the house to accommodate any weather. There is a trail down to the sea although we did not attempt it. Our host was extremely helpful with everything, and very responsive when there was any question. We plan to go back.

Stayed Jul 30, 2016We spent 8 fantastic nights at the Trulli sul mare. Enrico and Mario are brilliant hosts who do everything they can to make sure you have a wonderful stay. The Trulli are simple and well equipped, super clean and comfortable. The kitchen and living areas are mainly outdoors which was fantastic during the hot weather when we stayed. It's a short walk down to a pebbly beach and we hired bikes for the week to explore nearby Trani and Bisceglie (thanks to Enrico for his help with this). The garden is full of fig, prickly pear and pomegranate trees, tomatoes, aubergines, chilli peppers and wild herbs.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We never found a more charming and real wonderful situated location, than Trulli sul mare. We were welcomed by Mario and his brother Enrico and both gave us a very useful and really impressing explanation of the area and their work restoring this tulli and it's surrounding. The situation is great - near to the seaside and also Trani really in reach so that you will have the advantages of both. The area around the trulli is impressing and marvellous and the furniture of the flat tasteful and done with a lot of love . As you can see , we were really delighted and loved the location. We truely intend to come back and want to thank the three landlords. Imke and Michael from Hamburg
