Woodstock, New York
Overlooking the Woodstock village center, this antique hotel has 148 years of history and charm. From the front steps you will feel the same energy that travelers have felt since President Ulysses S. Grant visited Woodstock in 1872. This room 2D is a 1 bedroom apartment with a balcony that overlooks the center of the village. There is a full kitchen and a private bath. You do not need a car! The Trailways bus from NYC stops directly across the street, and walk to everything in the village.
Great place, second time here.
Very Clean, had a Woodstock vibe… nice quaint setting right off tinker street… very nice. I enjoyed my stay. ?
felt like home. great location. wanted to move in for a month!
The Woodstock Hotel is unusual to say the least. It is an old structure that has been remodeled inside to allow suites with kitchen and bathrooms. It is heated using old fashioned radiators. To control the room temperature, you turn a valve attached to the radiator to allow more or decrease the amount of hot water flowing through the radiator. The kitchen has most things that a person could want, except a microwave oven. We had to use the stove top to rewarm food and drinks. The bathroom has an old style tub on legs. It is great for taking a bath, but for showering, there is a curtain that goes around the tub making it a little tight inside. Also, the tub bottom has a curve to it making turning around a little dicey while keeping your balance. It could also be a little difficult for smaller people to get in and out of the tub. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is right in the middle of town, making most anything you want to do within walking distance. There was adequate parking behind the building. After parking you will need to get the code off your reservation information and go to the yellow house in the parking area to get your key. During our five night stay we did not see any hotel employees.
Fantastic location. The hotel is charming but understandably a bit antiquated. Could hear the plumbing from other rooms in the morning but thoroughly enjoyed people watching from the balcony.
The floors slant, the stairs creak, you can hear your neighbors at times, and the decor is outdated. AND I LOVED THIS PLACE!!! It was charming, cozy, clean and so very comfortable. It was too cold to enjoy the balcony but what a plus to have one. It's right in town so just walk out the door to eat and shop. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!
Can’t beat the location! Would stay again
This is the third time we have stayed at the Hotel Woodstock--a different room each time. This one is our favorite. You can't beat the location---in the heart of Woodstock, an easy walk to lots of restaurants and stores. The rooms are cute and comfortable and we love the little balconies. The property manager was responsive and helpful when we ran into a website glitch while booking our stay. We will definitely be back!
This spot was perfect for us. Located in the heart of Woodstock, literally steps to all the shops and restaurants. Super clean, excellent air conditioning and a balcony perfect for people watching!
Fun place at a good price. Had everything I needed (except dish towels and hooks in the bathroom). Very comfortable bed, fun balcony, and lots of vintage charm.
Enjoy returning to comfortable and familiar digs when in the area. Look forward to returning!
Hotel Woodstock is right in the center of the downtown. Enjoyed our stay in Room 2D. The hotel is a perfect reflection of a Woodstock hippie. A bit older (about 150 years old), and a bit off kilter! This is meant as a compliment! If you want the Ritz Carlton look elsewhere. What you get is a hotel that wears its age proudly. The apartment has a small yet functional kitchen as you walk in the door (sink, good size fridge, small 4 burner gas stove and oven). While there is no sofa, the kitchen table has 4 chairs and there is a balcony that faces the front of the building. The balcony has 2 chairs and an end table to place a drink or two. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom has a claw foot tub. Check in was very simple. Instructions that David sent was very clear and easy to follow. While I did not have any direct contact with David, there was no need as there were no issues or anything that required his input, I am confident he would be very responsive. There is parking for 9 cars and a municipal lot across the street if needed. Whenever I stay overnight anywhere, I always ask myself if I would stay in the place again in a future. Hotel Woodstock: Absolutely! '
This property was conveniently located in the town. Great , clean and cozy accommodations
The apartment was so close to everything and super cute and cozy.
