The space
INSIDE THE LOFT
My mom and I decided when we put this loft together that we wanted only the BEST for our GUESTS. How did we do that Well…
-We lined the bed with white hotel grade linens
-We added the details to the living room— first we furnished the huge cloud-like couch with cup holders and surround sound speakers in each armrest. We ensure you, you will experience the most cozy movie theater moment without leaving the loft. *My ten year old nephew said that he would book a stay just to sleep on this couch*
-We have a smart TV with a Soundbar for maximum volume, in case you decide to move from the couch to the bed.
-We added in 8 and a half foot double doors to the bedroom so that if you do have your kids, a friend, or an extra couple staying with you, you have plenty of privacy during your rest. Keep those doors open for the open concept.
-Enjoy the beautiful trees and all the natural light from our wall sized windows while you cook in our fully stocked kitchen. We have all the pots, pans, utensils, blenders, can openers, mixer, so on and so forth— that you could possibly need to host a dinner. Oh, and don’t forget we have a Keurig with coffee pods ready for you to start your morning! We know how important coffee is to you ;)
-Our favorite spot of all is the “Comfy Corner.” This is the place for you to grab a glass of wine or a cup of tea, kick your feet up and read a book or mediate. We put this comfy corner right next to our window so you can bask in the sunlight, or moonlight… or both! We have a feeling you’ll spend a lot of time here.
-We offer a washer and dryer for our guests along with detergent so you don’t have to put that on your packing list! We want this to feel like home and home is where clean clothes is.

THE EXTRAS
Feel free to make your way up to our 5th floor and check out the view of Downtown Louisville and the UofL Football Stadium! If you are feel like tanning, take a towel up there and bask for a bit!

HISTORY OF THE REYNOLDS LOFTS
Come experience a cozy stay here in the heart of Louisville. What makes our house,so special is the unique history of the building. This building was originally the Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant built in 1915– one of the first plants to revolutionize the world we live in today!
Then Reynolds Metal Company took over the factory around 1940 through 1958, hence our rooftop water tower with the giant iconic R on it!
In 2008, the building was converted into lofts but the visionaries who took over decided to preserve all the industrial characteristics inside the building. When you stay with us, you will see the original brick walls, metal piping, and concrete columns as well as the beautiful windows that let’s in the the golden sunshine in the afternoon just in time for dinner.
Guest access
When you stay with us, you have full access to our unit. We have a smart lock code on the unit door that is yours and only yours! It will expire when your stay has ended. You can park anywhere you like in our parking lot however if you drive past the dumpster and into the side lot, you will be able to see your car from the loft window. We give you a fob that grants you access to the building.
PLEASE NOTE— the original elevators do not operate. They are for historical preservation only. You will find the operating elevator once you round the corner after the first set of elevators. These elevators have tricked many, don’t let them trick you ;)
