- Road Noise: Please note that the property is located near a busy street, and you may experience some road noise during peak times of the day. Although it is not a main thoroughfare, it is a popular route to Downtown Brownwood. Additionally, there's a local tradition of honking while driving under the nearby train overpass. This fun custom excites children in the vehicles as it echoes and also serves as a safety measure to warn oncoming traffic at the blind corner. However, this noise typically quiets down in the evening, ensuring a peaceful night's rest.

We look forward to hosting you and ensuring you have a delightful and comfortable stay at the Conductor's Quarters.

If you pass on this place it's your loss. Super quaint and very clean. Well thought out so it has all the essentials you need. Remember this is in-town so will not be as quiet as if you are in a cabin in the woods. Just a little small town noise, was actually enjoyable to us. I highly recommend a stay here for a night or two.

The owners of this property clearly put great effort into this remodel. There were lots of special touches that made it so cozy and time period appropriate. Despite being near the railroad tracks and a busy traffic area, it was not noisy inside at all. The kitchen area was well stocked with coffee/creamer/sugar and the bed was comfy. My only (small) complaint was that the bottle of body wash that was left to use was near empty upon our arrival. I would recommend this location to friends that were staying in the area. It was a good find!

First off the host was amazingly helpful. This was our first vrbo booking and she was so patient with us. Second off- the pictures do not do this place justice! Such a cute and fun place. Wish we could have had more time just relaxing there but we were in town for a 3 day sporting clay event and spent all day at the shoot. I highly recommend this place and would stay again.

This place was so amazing. The attention to detail, the location to the university, the record player, the EVERYTHING was perfect. The communication from the owner, & flexibility, were so appreciated. We will be staying again! Thank you for a great time in your rail car.
