Stayed Aug 15, 2025Our stay in South Haven was great! The Asylum Inn was clean, well maintained, and had a charming feel. Restaurants, shopping, and the beach were all within a comfortable walking distance. There was great communication before, during and after our stay.

Stayed Sep 1, 2023Loved this unique inn! Super convenient location -close to everything- just a short walk (1 block) to all the downtown shops and restaurants. Fun Saturday farmers market just 1 block down the street (next to a great coffee shop-Julia’s). A short easy bike ride (5 minutes) down to South Beach. Right across the street from Kal Haven/Van Buren State Park trailheads. Our 2nd floor rooms were clean and furnishings in good shape. 2 barely used gas grills available and the patio area was a great place to eat outside and play cornhole! Parking spaces were a little tight with our Toyota highlander with a bike rack but doable. Loved the unique feel of the property/ building and would definitely stay here again. Really enjoyed our time in South Haven and our stay at the Asylum Inn!

Stayed Aug 10, 2023We had the best time staying at the Asylum! Such a great location - everything was easily walkable. Right next to shops, restaurants and farmers market! Unit was extremely clean and well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies. Would definitely stay there again!

Stayed Jul 27, 2023Lots of room and kitchen amenities. Parking was a challenge with larger vehicles (mini van). Cornhole was a blast!
