Loved our deck and the special amenities our host offered. Since they live above us, I was disappointed that they did not reach out to us and offer suggestions especially since it was in a remote location.
This was a wonderful place to retreat to after days touring the Biltmore and watching live music in Asheville and hiking Chimney Rock . All of our needs were anticipated from breakfast eats and coffee to band aids for scratches on the trail. Check in was a breeze and GPS took us straight up the mountain to the house. We’ll stay again if we are in the area ?
My stay at the property was wonderful the host and her husband where simply amazing! I have nothing but good things to say clean, private, peaceful, and safe! Definitely will be visiting again. The view is amazing day and night!
Great views, loved the horses each morning, great accommodations! Great suggestions from the host to hike very close by. Breathtaking views!
Owners were very accommodating. Went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. Every morning, we could watch the horses from the deck. Quiet and peaceful.
Nicely decorated, clean but owner lives in same unit, not completely separated site and upper floor not sound proof due to wood floors. Owner may be present upstairs and was during our stay due to work commuting. He also had a big dog whose claws were very audible in bedrooms we were in from 5:45 to 6:30 am 'sh on first two mornings. We could also hear footsteps, chair movement, pans/dishes moving, On first morning, after hearing car start and commuter leave, dog began running heavily all around upstairs ,eventually growled and barked a little before settling down. Alerted owners to this and they said friends would take care of dog, but second morning same time heard claws again in downstairs interrupting again our sound sleep.
Last minute plans to travel to visit grandkids in N.C. left us scrambling for accommodations around Thanksgiving. We were delighted to find this mountain retreat for our 4 night stay! The apartment was well appointed, a good size for 3 adults, and terribly cozy with the pellet stove! Just a few notes: There is no stove or dishwasher, as the on line info states, but we did quite well cooking full breakfasts on the hot plate and convection oven! Thoroughly enjoyed the views out all windows after an ice storm, and the ponies outside were an added treat! All in all, our stay was wonderful! Though a bit further from our grandkids than we would have liked, the ride up and down the mountain was beautiful and SO worth it! Watch for the waterfall on the ride in! Those of you who crave organic accouterments will enjoy the bamboo sheets, floors, essential oil infuser, and coffee/tea supplies! Highly recommend the accommodations and send thanks to Tim and Karen for thinking of everything!
Thank you for sheltering us through Hurricane Florence?
