Hemingway Penthouse South - Two Blocks from the Beach!

The unit is nicely appointed, has killer sunset views and is conveniently located to the beach and many restaurants. The building has good security features and is nicely landscaped. We also really enjoyed the pool.

We were impressed by how spacious the condo was. There was plenty of room for all of us and many different places to relax including the bedrooms, living room, kitchen and dining areas and outdoor balcony. The beds and bedding were comfortable and the towels plentiful with even beach towels included! The kitchen had everything we needed and was clean with lots of storage available. Having a washer and dryer room was a real plus. The views east and west were beautiful both day and night and the proximity to the beach and restaurants great. Would stay there again and highly recommend.

That place is in a pretty quiet area that canal system visibility. The unit is well stocked and an amazing space.

Overall, my family and I enjoyed the Hemingway penthouse, especially the location and size of the unit/views from the unit. Fair warning, the building itself is dated which caused many mechanical issues. The elevators were out of commission several times while staying there and it caused difficulty getting up to the unit. There were also issues when first arriving with overall cleanliness of the unit. The oven had a ton of grease in the bottom which caused it to smoke heavily (as one example). Lars the property manager was very responsive and did do his best to fix issues quickly. The location is great, but the building and unit could use some TLC.

However there was a cot and pack-n-play if needed. The unit was equipped sufficiently with basic supplies, and a very short walk to everything. I had many questions preceding our visit. Lars from iRenta was extremely helpful. We would absolutely select this unit again for our next stay in DFB.

Reviewer Comments: The apartment is a good apartment for a beach experience. the outdoor space is actually much better than the picture. they updated the furniture - so that was a nice surprise. The only thing was that it was noisy. There was repair work ongoing in the building and it was loud. It had finished by the time we left but it did dampen the experience early on.
