A perfect little place for a stay in The Heights. Cozy, clean, with a delightful little fish pond!
Excellent location, amenities and privacy. The only TINY critique I would make is that the bedsheets were old and ripped which didn’t match the rest of the ambiance. Overall a wonderful stay and will most likely be renting again.
The location was great. Lots of places to walk to and right on the hike and bike trail. Vicki was very responsive. I would book again.
The unit served our needs. It is small but efficient Location was great and loved the koi fountain
This property was just as pictured— very modern, neat and well equipped. If our family stays in Houston we will definitely stay here again. Great hospitality!
Great location. Friendly neighborhood. Quiet. Great place for a long weekend.
Very clean, well thought out floor plan and very peaceful koi pond. Location cannot be beat. Within minutes can be at multiple restaurants, morning coffee, bakeries, H-E-B and Joshua’s Native Plants and Garden which we went often. Hostess couldn’t be nicer or more helpful.
My wife and I stayed at this property over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The owner was quite responsive and prompt with communication and answering questions we had before our stay. Location couldn't be better! It was only a mile or so away from the home of our family member that we were having the Thanksgiving meal with. We love to walk and we especially appreciated that there was a walking/biking trail a half a block away that provided scenic safe walking for miles! Grocery stores are also about a block's walk away. Property was clean and fully equipped. We will definitely return!
It was very nicely decorated on the inside; and had everything you could think of in an apartment! A foot stool might be nice while sitting on the couch. Houston Hts. is a historical/family neighborhood; and it was fun to see it decorated for Halloween with lots of families trick or treating. It seems like a safe neighborhood and we went daily from the vrbo to downtown Houston to the convention center. We liked the koi pond and fed them daily. Vickie, the owner, was very helpful! You enter the property through a nice fence from an alley as the vrbo is above the garage (and the backyard is very small). We were uber-ing while in Houston, and the alley is not marked on any gps. Uber sees your address (front of the house) and thinks that's where they pick you up. I had to make notes on every uber we had for pick-ups as to HOW to find us in the alley; and still my husband had to stand at the alley/main street to make sure that the uber could find us. Also, the stairs up to the apartment are VERY steep yet there is a good handrail. It is a small bathroom, and it has a shower tub that is difficult to get into. It would be MUCH easier IF it was just a shower. Please check the seal on the shower faucet to the tile wall as it gaps and leaks; and check the shower door height on the door closest to the faucet as water splashes out from underneath on the floor. New bed pillows are needed as the ones we used were hard and flat.
I had to go to Houston for a work related event. This place was the best. Extremely clean, easy access, and a perfect location. I used to live in the Heights and it was nice being back in the neighborhood and going to my favorite restaurant Colinas. Vicki was easy to contact when I had to extend for another day and very prompt in her responses. There was easy access to the Nicholson trail to go running on, along with the Heights boulevard trail. The next time I am in Houston I will contact Vicki and stay here again
The warm hospitality of these hosts is expressed in their attention to details, supplies, & the cleanliness of this apartment. Well-appointed kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, 3 types of coffeemakers), private entrance, dedicated parking spot, and everything you might ever need is included in this VRBO. Excellent location in the Houston Heights: 30 minutes to the airport, 20 minutes to downtown., and within walking distance of a Houston Bcycle station. A large grocery store and many fabulous restaurants within a mile. Delightful garden setting with a koi pond and fountain - it doesn't feel like you're in the middle of a big city. Thank you Vicki for making this a relaxing dream vacation for us!
Loved the private, quiet location. Just big enough for two people. Perfect use of space, with a comfortable queen size bed and a good shower with plenty of hot water.
