Positioned at one end of Noosa Heads’ iconic Hastings St, this spacious three-bedroom property lies on a hillside, finding its place in a corner of the world that is both playground and sanctuary. Nestled in greenery and with filtered ocean views, it’s lush and languid, soothing and primed for adventure. So it’s no surprise that a recent renovation focused on underscoring the beauty of its natural surrounds with beautiful, inviting interiors.

Drawing on the sophistication of a monochrome palette, the apartment’s sleek design is centred on striking shades of white and black, softened by greys and pale timbers and accented by thoughtfully positioned artworks. It’s a look that enhances the effortless flow of the open-plan living zone, which unites the hub of the home across the spacious kitchen, welcoming dining space and chic lounge. From there it’s a seamless transition through banks of sliding glass doors to the north-facing wrapround patio, where you can claim a seat, draw in a deep breath, bask in the soft breezes and enjoy filtered views of natural attractions such as Laguna Bay and Main Beach. It’s a rare opportunity to enjoy paradise from on high, before curiosity and a keen sense of adventure guide you down the hill towards the heart of the action.

Along cosmopolitan Hastings St, new-season fashions capture the eye with vibrant colour, alongside high-end homewares, beautiful artworks and bespoke retail and boutique offerings. Talented local chefs showcase their creativity in menus brimming with seasonal local ingredients while visitors and locals alike gather to meet, chat, make plans and simply enjoy the slower pace of life that defines Noosa.

Mere steps away, the beauty of Main Beach unfolds in both directions, golden expanses of soft sand fringing azure and turquoise waters that lead out to the horizon and encourage activities ranging from the sublime delights of a cooling plunge on a tropical day to the thrill that is hitting the water with a surfboard in hand to tackle the waves. Nearby Noosa National Park, meanwhile, is an ideal haunt for those who love to explore on foot, perhaps even tackling the natural delights of the pristine coastal walk.

No need to save your energy for the walk back home, with a lift providing access directly to the door.

With an eye to family gatherings, the flexible and functional apartment has access to the complex pool, which is heated year-round for guests. This focus on comfort extends to the bedrooms, which are decorated with a sense of warmth and invitation, enlivened by pops of green and the use of natural textures and artworks that invite closer inspection. Amenities include a deep soaking bath, bunk beds for the little ones and a spacious staircase void that floods the apartment in beautiful natural sunlight.

It’s the perfect base from which to tick off bucket list items among the area’s pristine natural attractions and cosmopolitan culture. Or, you could simply stay right where you are and do almost nothing at all. In an apartment where the beauty of your surrounds is showcased inside as much as out, the choice is entirely yours.
