Stayed Aug 11, 2018Claire and Thomas' apartment is exactly as described and made a perfect base for our family whilst we explored the delights of Alsace and attended a family wedding. The stunning view down the Fecht valley was the backdrop to many memorable meals on the terrace. Church bells, storks wheeling in the thermals above the house and brilliant starlit nights made al fresco dining even more magical. Munster is a lovely, not very touristy wee town with an excellent range of shops only a few minutes walk away from the house, but even better, there are literally hundreds of paths around Munster- only 2-3 minutes from the house you can find paths through the beautiful mature forests that cover the sides of the valley. Our hosts were away for the first week of our two week stay, but when a problem occurred with the cooker, Thomas' brother appeared within minutes and sorted everything out speedily and with wonderful good humour. Thanks to the whole family for a lovely stay!

Stayed Jul 21, 2018Our holiday here was fantastic. The apartment is really spacious, well furnished and had everything we needed. The large balcony was great for eating meals and sitting out in the evening watching the sun go down. It was very quiet but also very convenient for walking into Munster for shopping, with a good choice of boulangeries, and also for the outdoor pool. The area is a great area for walking with many good walks nearby especially to Le Hohneck and the Wormsa and we also had great trips to Colmar and various local villages. Claire was really friendly and the whole stay was a really lovely holiday

Stayed Aug 12, 2017Claire and Thomas' home was a wonderful place to call home while we were traveling through the Alsace region! We were welcomed warmly by our hosts - and even enjoyed a local celebration on the property! Our family thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and dinner each evening on the lovely terrace - with fantastic views down the valley into the pretty town of Munster. The home was an easy walk into the village at the bottom of the hill to pick up fresh croissants for breakfast each day from an excellent selection of boulangeries! (The grocery store is also within walking distance!) A particular treat was lunch at La Table des Malker in their magical courtyard in the back!!! Not to be missed: any one of the numerous hikes in the area - rewarding yourself with lunch at a Ferme Auberge afterwards... and if you need a break from the heat of summer, a swim in Lac de Longemer! We all wish we had more time here - and will return!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were welcomed by Claire and felt at home straight away. The apartment is very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The best asset is the large balcony overlooking the valley where we had our sunny breakfasts. It is a 5 minute walk down to Munster, a pretty little alsatian town with nice shops and a few good restaurants. It takes a bit longer to climb back up again. There are walks from the town or many beautiful drives to the higher summits of the Vosges. I highly recommend this lovely setting. The apartement was clean and contained everything we needed! I hope to come back some day.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This house is absolutely lovely. Very big rooms, high ceilings, shutters and very comfortable. Feels like a 'colonial' house. The apartment is the entire second floor and has two balconies with great views over the village to the mountains. Very well equipped kitchen and we loved the 'grill' on the balcony - worked brilliantly and a bit different from a BBQ. Munster is a lovely village, some nice shops (check the cake shop), there is a little supermarket three minutes walk from the apartment and a Super U 5 mins drive away. Lots of options for bread shops in the village. Our teenagers loved the swimming pool in Munster - outdoor and indoor in the summer with some crazy flumes and wave machine etc. Lots of options for walking in the hills around. Owners are delightful and couldn't be more helpful (without in anyway being intrusive). We would love to go back - don't hesitate, just book!
