New Haven, Connecticut
This Spacious 3 bedroom apartment, with 3 queen beds, eat in kitchen, and a large living room is perfect for a trip to New Haven. Next door to Yale, located in the Wooster Square area! Quiet street for a city, you can walk to Frank Pepe's!
The place was in a convenient location but had an awkward layout and was minimally furnished. Obviously well used and could use some TLC and more conveniences (trash cans, mirrors, side tables, etc.) in the bedrooms.
Had an excellent stay at this accommodating location. Gary was super helpful and everything could only be described as completely smooth sailing. 10/10 would stay again!
Owner cancelled our reservation less than an hour before check in. He said it was double booked and blamed it on VRBO. I booked this months ago and it put my party of 5 in a major bind!
My son had a camp at Yale so this was the perfect location. The place was even more spacious than expected. The host was helpful with information for the trip and responded quickly.
This accommodation worked really well for our family of four for a two night stay to explore Yale and New Haven. In a short walk you can be in downtown and it’s very accessible to surrounding motorways. The accommodation was comfortable and clean - just what we need!
Was very clean and roomy, location was great.
This was a nice unit near Yale in New Haven. We had a few problems but our contact Gary was extremely responsive. We woke up to no heat on Thanksgiving morning. I wrote to him at 7:15 and heard back by 7:30. The problem was resolved by 10. Comfortable queen size beds in each bedroom and a nice electric fireplace in the living room. The kitchen was well-equipped and spacious, with nice countertops. There is only 1 bathroom with a shower, no tub, which was fine for my group. The water pressure was hit or miss. it stopped altogether during one of my husband’s showers. There are tiles in the kitchen and bathroom that are cracked and loose, so don’t expect a totally perfect place, but it’s really nice and comfortable. The area is residential and we saw a number of people in the days we were staying. They were friendly and we always felt safe, even coming back at night.
Great rental, especially price for amount of space
Easy access, clean and pleasant apartment. Definitely worthwhile.
Beautiful, very spacious 3-bedroom apartment on a quiet street with downtown New Haven, Yale, restaurants, etc. in walking distance. Everything was clean and inviting. Gary was very responsive to our questions. Nicely furnished and decorated, with little touches like coffee supplies, a filtered water pitcher, supplies for the washer/dryer, etc. Would definitely stay here again!
Our reservation was cancelled on us 45 minutes AFTER the check in time. We were not assisted WHATSOEVER to find other accommodations. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Absolute nightmare!
Somehow we got double-booked. The other family seemed surprised to see us. They put us in their other apartment on the property. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes and the toilet was I flushed, so it did not smell ok. It had zero water pressure—the shower was barely usable. The owner was very apologetic and gave us a partial refund, but it was not a great experience overall.
This apartment was a perfect location and setting for our college visit to Yale. Thanks, Gary!
