    We had a nice vacation. Shane's apartment was ideal, nice quiet area only ten minutes down hill walk to La Maquesa Golf Club with bars restaurants and supermarket. El Recorrel Nature park with it's feature ponds and walks is only 15 mins walk, 2 mins in car. This place is ideal for dog walkers and nature lovers. Check out the Cuevas del Rodeo at Rojales. Fabulous cave houses now made into art studios with a artisan market Sundays. Rojales is a lovely town with great selection of restaurants with good prices for a menu del dia. There is a cycle path running along the Segura from Rojales which is another interesting walk. Don't miss the market there on Thursdays.. definitely recommend Shane's place. Oh and I forgot the fab solarium with sunshine all day. The icing on the cake.

    The accommodation is well set out for a party of 6 - however there should be an idiots guide to the keys & the water drainage that comes from the air con and goes to the apartment below. We couldn’t find the third bedroom and needed to phone the Manager.Most importantly the access to the apartment & pool is very misleading and needs to be made clear that it is an uphill walk from the front door which is actually at the back of the buildings. Not easy for anyone with young children or anyone with mobility issues.
