Stayed Apr 20, 2023Lovely characterful property, with nice lounge and dining area, well equipped kitchen & private outside space which was a great suntrap, just off the kitchen. The apartment is in the basement of the main house, which is set in a private gated garden so secure. The lovely dog Ziggy got used to us straight away & we had no trouble going in and out of the gate. It's a bit of a hill to get up to the house from old town, but that's typical of Funchal I would say. It's only a 8 minute walk to the Farmers market and lots of the sights, so for us, perfectly located.
