Stayed Dec 31, 1969Location: Propriano is a great place to base yourself in Corsica with great views, easy access to the mountains and only ~an hour away from Bonifacio and Ajaccio and all they have to offer. Within Propiano the flat is extremely central - a short walk from all restaurants and the port, as well as convenient for a number of boulangeries and other shops Flat: The flat is a very high spec and includes truly awesome views (pictures here can't do justice). In particular there is a nice terrace which is ideal for having an aperitif and watching the sun begin to set. Inside the flat there is an open plan kitchen with a sofa but little extra living space, which isn't a problem during good weather as the terrace is large enough to comfortably serve that function. Owners The owners were extremely helpful, giving us a number of brilliant recommendations that we couldn't have found otherwise, they were also very quick, efficient and pragmatic in dealing with the check-out, which was great. One thing to consider for foreign visitors is that you will be required to give an €800 euro cash deposit which is returned at the end of the stay, meaning you can be left with A LOT of foreign currency at the end of your holiday! Overall, though I was extremely happy with the service. Restaurants: I'd recommend Terra Cotta in the town centre as a great place to get good fish, as well as Chez Charlot in nearby Viggianello for the amazing sunset views. For something more upmarket, Le Lido serves great food, albeit at very high prices. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay there.
