Our place was as described, nice clean and located close to the downtown area. Everything went well. The only problem we had was a defective sliding door in the bathroom, which I’m sure they will fix.One last thing to note: there’s a rather large amount of homeless people that seem to congregate around this area day and night sleeping on the sidewalks and blocking driveways

The apartment is beautiful, extremely well appointed and met our needs. The low rating is due to the large homeless population that congregates each day. The fights, loud conversations and smoke smell all detract from the stay. The police and fire are called to the shelter frequently and the sirens are easily audible. I WOULD NOT recommend this location to anyone traveling alone or who is sensitive to these issues.

Great little apartment and can tell the host put thought into making comfortable. Comfortable beds & sheets, lots of kitchen items. The neighborhood is up & coming, but felt safe. Was very close to downtown.

The VRBO was clean. The TVs didn’t work for us to add our YoutubeTV which was our subscription. Netflix did work. There is a homeless shelter right across the street with many people outside most of the day. My friend and I did not find the neighborhood to be walkable but we could drive to any location in a short period of time. Also the parking was super tight. We could not park and use the passenger side doors. We had a great time in Asheville.

This property is very well appointed, particularly the kitchen and the unit is well designed if you have more than one couple; cute decor too without being cluttered. Just my husband and I stayed and we used the spare bedroom for a large closet. If you are elderly, there's a steep little flight of stairs for the upstairs units, but the parking places are right there, so that beats the condos downtown that require off-site parking.Drawback: the homeless population has expanded since Helene. We are familiar with, and not been bothered by, the homeless in the past, but Helene seems to have expanded conditions for the unfortunate. The shelter is close by.

The apartment is in a location that you can easily walk to great restaurants & shops. We were not aware the door to enter the apartment leads directly into one of the bedrooms (queen bed) which makes it difficult if 1 person goes to bed early & the other wants to go out. It would disturb your roommate. The beds & pillows were comfortable. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Apartment was clean, bath towels appeared to be overly worn, discolored from use. I asked 3 times for a little bit later check out than their normal 10am. I was finally told after the 3rd request that they would look into it, with zero response back. Low & behold 10:01am the cleaning crew was knocking on the door. SUPER CHEEZY!! Management should have just said no the 1st time I asked. It doesn’t take 5 hours to clean a tiny apartment. The poor communication for my request of a tad bit later check out (most vrbo’s & hotels are 11am or will accommodate 12pm) & watching drug deals across the street at the soup kitchen, I would NOT stay at this apartment again. But thank you for the experience. Namaste

The property itself was very nice, clean and in a good location. The halfway house across the street was not an issue. Our stay was challenging but due to no fault of the owners. We were there in the middle of the hurricane. We had no power, water and cell service most of the stay. We were able to make the best of it but left early to get out of the area while we could.

Got in around midnight and there was someone sleeping by the back stairs, bedding in both rooms was dirty, hair everywhere. Immediately contacted host, as directed in property binder, and received a response immediately. The property manager said they couldn’t see anyone sleeping on the back porch and asked me to go out and take a picture (which I said I was not comfortable doing) and there was a camera pointed right at the location where someone was sleeping (we looked the next morning). Was reassured cleanliness issues would be addressed the next day. Luckily we were around when the cleaning company came in, because they were only going to change one of the beddings. Unfortunately they never vacuumed even though host stated they would change both beds and vacuum. Not worth the price, especially to not have a clean stay. Location was convenient to walking anywhere downtown. As we were aware prior to booking, it was right across from a homeless shelter so there were people sleeping on the sidewalk ant night and hanging out there during the day. After the first night, we didn’t have an issue with anyone sleeping by the back porch. Currently there is road construction going on, so the street is pretty quiet at night. Overall, we would not stay again. Recommend a hotel downtown or a rental property on the other side of town because that felt safer walking around at night.

Annie #3 fit our family needs perfect as a comfy place to sleep and rest and launch romps about Asheville. Many urban destinations within short walking distance of this colorful and cozy place. Nice attention to the little details in the kitchen and throughout the apartment with very comfy beds.

We stayed at the Annie #3 and the place was absolutely beautiful! It really had everything you needed and then some. Coffee, creamer, filters, and all the pots and pans and extra stuff you would not think an Air B&B would have. It was really very nice to not need to get or bring anything other than normal groceries. This is by no means a negative review, but rather an informative one. The place is absolutely incredible, but the location no so much. It was rather uncomfortable with the homeless across the street for much of the day Friday. They are not there on Saturday and Sunday when that helping hand home is not open. But if you are there M-F, be prepared for alot of loitering of the homeless. They will not bother you, and the police were making rounds, however, seeing some of the things going on were a little uneasy feeling. If I had kids, or was a single person, I would not feel comfortable being in that location.

We really enjoyed our 9 days at this cute little apartment. Our daughter was attending nearby camps so it was the perfect place for her to rest on the weekends and for us to do all her laundry! The apartment had everything you’d need, including very comfortable beds. We were aware from the description and comments of the homeless service center across the street, but it still takes you aback at first. However, we had no safety issues or concerns all week and walked to and from town frequently without any issues. The parking lot is very tight and a large car or truck would have trouble parking. The property managers were immediately responsive via text to a minor issue with the fridge and even brought over additional supplies as needed (ie paper towels and garbage bags). With its convenient location, it was easy to explore downtown by foot and the nearby Biltmore estate and Pisgah Forest by car. We would definitely stay again!
