Welcome to the Dr. J.R. Mitchell House! Built in 1909 as what is believed to be the first animal clinic in Evansville, this century-old home has been renovated and modernized. This downstairs apartment was Dr. Mitchell’s original animal clinic while his family’s quarters was located upstairs.

Stayed Dec 17, 2024Great place to stay. You can walk to Museums, downtown and shop's. Parking is in front making it easy to come and go. Loved the home, It's clean and cozy. A home away from home feel.

Stayed Oct 4, 2024My niece and I drove in from Florida for a family wedding in Newburgh and stayed at Nathan‘s place. It was just perfect for the two of us, although there was definitely room for more! Beautiful, clean place with super comfortable beds and everything that we needed in the kitchen 😊 we didn’t get to explore downtown Evansville much but this location is walking distance from some fun stuff. Nathan was very helpful and quickly responded to our messages. Great host, great place. Highly recommend!

Stayed Aug 6, 2024This place was very quaint and reminded me of the apartment in the show “Friends”! It was very clean, quaint, perfect for my dad and I with their two separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The ONLY thing I would say that was a little downside was the noise from upstairs apartment. Other than that, five star review from me!!

Stayed Jul 5, 2024Really enjoyed our weekend stay. The house has a ton of character and if we come back to Evansville again we’d stay here again.
