Stayed Dec 21, 2025The place is very nice, well equipped, clean and video secured, and at walking distance from some roof tops and the city center. However, as we were on the first floor, the noise reduction from upstairs was inexistent. We quickly understood why there were ear plugs provided on the nightstands. Furthermore, the building sits across a social center for homeless people that you could see and hear at night and during the day (mostly on weekdays when open) leaving all sorts of garbage behind. Thanks! to the city of Asheville cleaning employees for spending their time (mostly in the evening) cleaning the mess. Needless to say, that walking your dog with these folks around was not the most thrilling vacation experience. All that to say that we cannot recommend that location despite the very nice indoor setting and the proximity of the city landmarks. We also ended up considering the price to be too high given the noise and location issues.

Stayed Nov 12, 2025Our trip was a quick friends get away. We both thought the place was adorable and beds very comfortable. We walked everywhere and never felt unsafe. Downtown was just around the corner. Lots of shopping and great restaurants nearby. I was extremely impressed with the fully stocked kitchen. Very clean. Easy check in & out. Great communication. Will definitely stay again when in Asheville.

Stayed Oct 2, 2025The apartment itself was very nice and clean. The proximity to restaurants and bars was very walkable. The homeless lingering around was not great. Seems like they're only open across the street on weekdays, so it may be much better on the weekends. But even when the homeless center across the street was closed, people would still be hanging on the sidewalks and on the stoop leading up to the apartment building.

Stayed Aug 1, 2025Really clean and well appointed space. Beds and furniture seemed new. We were there for one night with two dogs and we appreciate that we could find a dog-friendly property downtown. It was a bit tricky finding a safe place to walk them and that was the only drawback. We had no issues with any of the unhoused people in the area or any of the agencies that serve them.

Stayed Feb 21, 2025The property itself is pretty nice. Across the street, right outside our window, was a line of homeless people on the sidewalk smoking crack and doing who knows what other drugs. Parking isn’t the best and pretty tight around the back of the buildings. We opted not to stay after arriving due to the activities going on right outside the window.

Stayed Feb 6, 2025The property was good. An easy 10 minute walk to downtown. The parking is a little tight, and the homeless shelter is located directly accross the street, but overall this was a wonderful location for our trip. The host was fantastic

Stayed Jul 18, 2024Downton Annie was amazing! The place was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and wonderfully appointed with amenities. It was the perfect distance to get to most areas of downtown within a 15 minute walk, though other residents may want to be aware that it is an uphill walk, so factor that into your time. The parking is a bit tight though, even with a compact vehicle, so keep that in mind if bringing your own transportation.
