Absolutely lovely and so convenient! We walked everywhere and didn’t take our cars out once. We shopped, ate at cute restaurants, wandered and visited the Virginia Museum of Fine Art, all on foot!

Loved the affordability! The location is fantastic! Easy access to shops and restaurants. Parking in the rear was great. Beautiful views of the autumn leaves from the third story windows. Loved that there was an air purifier and window fan. The main downside was that the bathroom had some issues. The toilet wasn't flushing well, the toilet tank filled extremely slowly so you had wait quite a while between flushes, low water pressure, and we had to plunge it daily. There was also a broken flapper issue so sometimes the tank wouldn't fill, but because of delayed messages (VRBO would send the host our messages hours after we sent them or even the next day), we were never able to get the toilet issues fixed. Also the shower curtain was too high for the space, so water was splashing outside the shower base and even leaking onto the wood floors in the main living area. Based on the state of the tile floor next to the shower and the wood floors just outside the bathroom, it seems this has been an ongoing issue. The sink is tiny with no counter space, so it was a little tricky getting ready in the morning/evening. The interior decor has also changed a bit from the VRBO photos. But besides the bathroom issues, we loved the place! If you're gonna stay in Richmond, I definitely recommend staying in the Fan District!

Our final road trip stop was meant to be restful, but sadly, this apartment delivered the opposite. It’s a tidy & well-located spot in the Fan District ( free parking), and Mei was initially communicative. However, a truly disruptive night overshadowed everything. Tenants in a neighboring unit, also booked through Mei, partied loudly & yelled until 4 AM!This was especially frustrating as the listing states a “quiet hours” policy after 9 PM. We were extremely respectful, keeping noise to a minimum, but our consideration wasn’t reciprocated – and Mei didn’t intervene. We contacted her repeatedly throughout the night; initial responses promised action, but she ultimately stopped replying, leaving us to endure hours of noise. We even considered leaving in the middle of the night! Her follow-up apology felt empty.Adding to our concerns, the building’s front door was unlocked & apartments lack peepholes – a security risk. Mei, please remove the quiet hours policy if you won’t enforce it; it’s misleading. I’d advise anyone prioritizing a peaceful stay to look elsewhere. While the apartment is nice, a good night’s sleep is a gamble.

Adorable studio apartment located right off Monument Avenue. Walkable to Carytown and Museum district. Having dedicated parking is a game changer for this location. Reasonably priced and hosts provided detailed and timely communication. Would definitely stay in this unit or others in the building again.

Very comfortable space for two people. Pleasantly surprised to find some water bottles and a Keurig coffee maker with a supply of coffee, sugar, creamer. The bathroom was nicely furnished with feminine supplies. The space was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. We are two seniors and the only negative was getting our luggage up three flights of stairs. Having a front porch to sit on and relax was also a plus. The neighbors walking dogs were very friendly and we felt extremely safe here.

We came for a show at The National and wanted to have some beautiful places to see within walking distance. This location did not disappoint! The unit was on the third floor so you get your steps in, but it was quaint and quiet. The parking was a huge plus as we had challenges parking on our drive to Jackaon Ward and other neighborhoods on the weekend. Walkability is great! We had fabulous food at The Savory Grain a few blocks away. Lunch on Sunday at Curry's Carribean in Jackson Ward was amazing and unique. AC worked great, bed was comfy. Coffee was great but only 3 pods (we like coffee). Our only suggestion would be to have 2 glasses and enough eating utensils for two people. We had amazing leftover carb artichoke dip to snack on.Will definitely consider coming back to this property in the future.

We really enjoyed our time in Mei's studio. The space was exactly as pictured and described, and our check-in process couldn't have been easier. We were also within walking distance of great restaurants, and an easy drive elsewhere. Thank you, Mei!

The place is adorable and has everything a traveler would need. The owner has obviously given a lot of thought to travelers’ needs. There’s a tiny kitchen and a very cute bathroom. Especially noteworthy was the incredibly comfortable queen size bed. The owner kept me well informed about everything. I was delighted overall.

Great spot in the Fan District. Surprised the front door to the building did not have a lock on it. Also there was not a remote to control the tv volume. Overall a good experience though, just a couple things that could improve.
