Cozy Studio in Miami’s Heart with Parking

Booking Booked through Expedia. Had to make an account with VRBO. Selected to pay at location - but there’s no reception area. Found out there were more forms to fill out that weren’t Expedia or VRBO related. Sat in the lobby at night trying to get hold of someone to figure out how to checkin. Very frustrating. Location About 15 mins walk into coconut grove. Supermarket nearby. Building It’s pretty run down. The elevator looks like it’s on its last legs but saw a notice saying there’s maintenance scheduled. Looks like a bullet hole in the elevator door. The exterior of the building is run down, bricks falling off the surrounding wall. It’s pretty crumby and wasn’t expecting it from the photos Apartment unit Unit was clean but bit of a weird smell. The hot water for the shower took 5-10 mins to heat up, also the body wash must have been watered down about 10x. The unit is right next to the laundry room where people use in the early hours slamming metal doors - which woke me every night. It’s by a main road as well where people drag their cars so that constantly kept me awake. I could hear the neighbours television from the unit it’s joined to. Overall Would I stay here again. No chance. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this disappointed from accommodation

The studio was about as expected. Good location and included the essentials.

Nice opportunity to get multiple rooms close to family. Easy check in and out.

Against my better judgment I booked after reading the reviews on here. There were only two. We stayed for 10 days and actually were grateful for how clean and cute this property was. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping the common areas clean, hallways and property. You are responsible for your own laundry which there is an older speed queen set (OG of washer/dryers) at least on the seventh floor where we were. It worked great. I honestly wish we could’ve stayed longer but we had to get back home. The biggest problem that we had was we extended our stay by two days and we had to end up calling the 800 number so he could reset our code to the old one because our code got changed after our time initially ran out. It was great because the entrance of the building there was a male room so if you stay there and want Amazon packages delivered the Amazon people would just put them in the mail room which we had done multiple times. The pictures make this look like it is a duplex or maybe something that is easily handicap accessible. We didn’t realize that it’s basically a big apartment building that is seven stories. I looked at one of the reviews because they said that the elevator wasn’t working. I was one of the many people that go to Miami for surgery and wanted to make sure that the elevator was working. I called the one 800 number and they said that the elevator had been working, which it was fine the whole time we were there.

Elevator was not working. No mentioned in the Vrbo app that the fee was supposed to be paid to another company. Only texts received from this other company. No phone number provided. Only when Vrbo called them is when I was able to speak with someone and canceled my stay.
