Get away to our cozy lakeside retreat on Rust Pond in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Located on the property of a six-acre private residence, this spot is friendly and secluded with woods and water around you. This open-space loft features a bedroom with queen-sized bed as well as a daybed, a living area, a small dining area overlooking the water, a fully equipped galley kitchen and bath with tub and shower. A gravel road runs around the lake perimeter for long walks and mountain hiking, and there are also many forest trails to explore.
Beautiful location, very comfortable accomodations and wonderful hosts! Just minutes to downtown Wolfeboro and travel routes. Would definitely love to come back!!
Such a beautiful property. We enjoyed hanging out at the lake. The hosts were very accommodating and communicative with us before and during the visit. Highly recommended.
We have only wonderful things to share about our trip to Wolfeboro and staying on Karen & Richard's lakeside oasis. As others have reviewed, our hosts were gracious and helpful in orienting us to the area, and the use of their property. The studio was perfect for us, with plenty of space, and a workable kitchen for a quick breakfast and packing snacks for the beach. The view alone is worth every penny spent, although it's quite a deal anyway. I slept so well, it's the lake air, the pin-drop silence, or the super comfortable bed. Plenty to do in town which is only a 5-minute drive away, and other area attractions about 30 minutes away. Thank you, Karen & Richard!
Karen and Rich are wonderful hosts that made our stay extremely comfortable. They went above and beyond in not only making us feel welcome but also contributing to our wonderful time on an off the property. The property is a cozy space at a great location. We were able to go for long walks through the woods in the morning, take a dip in the lake in the afternoon, and get to the restaurants in downtown Wolfeboro in 5 minutes in the evenings. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back!
This was a perfect apartment to explore NH. Quiet, lake front property on Rust Pond yet a short drive to Wolfeboro, we felt like we had a great balance of getting away to nature without being too remote. Karen and Rich are lovely hosts and they made us feel very welcomed to their property. The apartment is well appointed and we cooked many meals there. There is also a grill available. Morning coffee on the beach and dock, watching the loons swim by and hearing their calls was so relaxing and a serene way to start the day. We also had a special visit by an otter that lives in the area. There is a canoe, row boat, kayak and paddle board for guest use so you can spend a lot of time on the pond if inclined. After reading other guest reviews we made a point to not over schedule and had a day to enjoy the pond and nearby Wolfeboro which is a lovely town on Lake Winnipesaukee. We were very fortunate that the weather cooperated and our timing aligned, and Karen and Rich took us out for a boat tour of Rust Pond. Really above and beyond hospitality by these gracious hosts - thank you both! Highly recommend driving north to see the White Mountains and drive the Kancamagus Highway. Pack a picnic and eat along one of the many river spots accessible from the road. We did and it was awesome. This was our first visit to New Hampshire and we are in love with this state! Can’t wait to go back.
We didn't have a chance to enjoy any of the outdoor amenities due to endless rain. However the loft studio space easily fit our dinner group of 5 more adults and Karen provided extra chairs as well as salt and sugar. Kitchen supplies are basic for cooking. Remember to bring sheets and towels with you. Bed was very comfy and the A/C was a blessing one night.
wonderful space ,nicely decorated and comfortable. Hosts could not have been nicer!!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings near the dock and in the gazebo. We even saw the beaver in his pond! Perfectly located for our day trips around NH, VT, and ME. Karen & Rich we’re lovely and so accommodating!
This was our first time on Rust Pond and it won't be our last! Karen and Rich's property is amazing and exactly how it was portrayed online. Karen and Rich were very friendly but also gave us privacy. They even took us for a boat ride around the pond. My husband and I used their kayaks, had drinks in the gazebo and had a campfire each night. It was a wonderful weekend that was way too short. We are hoping to go back to this property in the summer. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is visiting the area.
I had a wonderful stay here. The property and guest space are gorgeous and just what I needed. Soaked up as much as I could of their private beach, kayaking, and swimming (complementary). Just a 5-minute drive to explore Wolfeboro and Lake Winnipesaukee. Will definitely come stay again!
Such a peaceful and quiet little place right on the lake. Hosts were so friendly and welcoming and do anything to make your stay more enjoyable. The rental is a studio above the garage which was smaller than I imagined, however the location, hospitality and tranquility more than made up for that.
Very clean, comfortable, well-maintained apartment. Friendly hosts. Sitting on little private beach was delightful—peaceful and a lovely view. Pond bottom was mucky, so we wished we'd brought water shoes to enjoy our swim more. Fun to see and hear 3 loons. Convenient to Wolfeboro for dinner and nearby walks and beaches.
The loft above the garage was very nice and worked well for our purposes. Owner does mention to bring your own sheets but be sure to bring your own towels as well as there are none. Very friendly owners and very accommodating ??Thank you, we truly enjoyed our stay.
Karen and Richard were excellent hosts. The property is breathtaking and the lake is so clean. We were very comfortable in the apartment
This was my first time to the lake region of NH & I loved it! Karen and her family were very hospitable. The property is very scenic and relaxing. There are boats/kayaks to use. Next time I will bring floating devices, just to float and take in the sun. In addition the downtown area is 2 miles away. Check out the tours on Lake Winnepesaukee
My mom and I had a wonderful stay at Karen and Rich’s property. We stayed in the guest suite above the garage. The suite was well-equipped and had what we needed for our stay. Nothing fancy, but perfectly adequate. The real selling point of this property is the gorgeous location (and the very friendly and accommodating hosts). It’s right on Rust Pond, which is really a lake. They have multiple different boats you can take out on the lake, and their lakefront backyard is just beautiful. We are most of our meals in the gazebo overlooking the lake. We had a great stay, and are definitely planning on coming back in the future!
