The Space:
This apartment/condo is in a private home built by former Governor of Colorado, Jesse McDonald in 1893. Experience the epitome of Leadville character. Located on the first floor, this suite exudes Victorian charm. Enjoy your own kitchen and bathroom, and always be steps away from downtown.
Note: the home is older (as all homes are in Leadville!) and shares walls with the unit next door. Noise leaks but we provide white noise machines and ear plugs if you need them. Please respect the neighbors and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm!
Parlor
The private entrance opens into a formal parlor with a 12 foot ceiling, crystal chandelier and electric fireplace with original mantel. An antique dresser, wing-back chair, antique armoire and cable TV are also located in the living room.
Primary Bedroom
The primary bedroom has a queen size bed with luxurious pillows, an antique dresser and mirror and reproduction wallpaper imported from England. This room also has original wood flooring dating back to 1881.
Kitchen
The fully equipped kitchen has a cook top range, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and table with two chairs and a bench. Delicate floral wallpaper and lace curtains add to the charm.
Bathroom
Off of the hall between the kitchen and bedroom is a private bath with a shower. The black-and-white geometric tile floor, mahogany sink cabinet and wainscoting on the walls give this modern bath an old-fashioned feel.

Nice, cozy place.
Location good
The property was close to downtown which was great! Checkin and communication was excellent, easy to access. The bed was comfortable overall had the amenities we needed. There is a slight odor when you come into the unit which was unpleasant but unnoticeable after a few minutes. The living room furniture was old and sparse, but we got by. Thanks for a great stay.
It was cute with a great location. The windows still don’t have screens on them, and some paint is peeling in the bathroom. A dresser would help as there is no closet and the dresser that is there is filled with linens. A little upkeep would go a long way in making this place perfect.
Great spot in Pb. Nice fenced front yard for the dog. Super easy stay. Will book again.
Excellent Leadville location, iconic property. Love it!
I was overall disappointed. The location was great as it is steps from historic downtown. The price was right for what is received if all was in order and clean. The property in general seems in disrepair. 3 of the light fixtures has burned out light bulbs. The refrigerator smelled of rotten meat. The first night was uncomfortable as the heat stuck on and had to contact property manager for a fix. The worst thing was there was only one roll of toilet paper which was on the roll and of course we didn’t discover there were no other until it was too late. The front yard and porch area are a mess and front gate is broke. The listing says that the adjoining unit would be a little noisy but you could hear every word spoken and you had to yes white noise or you couldn’t sleep. If you have a large suitcase you will need to open and keep in the front room as there is no Other place you can open it in the house due to space. I hope this review is read and taken as constructive criticism for items to addressed so future guests will have better stays. Regards John
It’s a beautiful old Victorian home with spectacular views from the top floor and perfect location to downtown Leadville. The only issue - you can hear a lot through the walls so it’s not the most private or quiet when others are also in other units.
Quaint and simple. Bigger than expected as pictures didn’t show the multiple rooms. We had some difficulties with access and with heat but they weren’t too much of a disruption. I would visit again!
Charming little spot. Convenient to downtown Leadville. Only deducted one star because the bed was a little small and soft for our taste.
We stayed for two nights. It was nice that they allowed our pup! Cozy place in Leadville.
This property was clean and well equipped for our 3 night stay. Walking distance to all that Leadville has to offer in town.
Our first night at the unit was great, second night was awful. This unit is a part of a larger house and is pretty easy to hear the adjacent rooms. Unfortunately for us, they had 8-10 people staying in that unit next to us our second night and they played pool and partied until 1am. We decided to end our stay early as this was a place for us to stay for work and needed our sleep. Nadim was responsive however did not offer any type of refund, only a promise it wouldn't happen again. We just couldn't risk it.
