NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY: Children are not allowed. Not handicap friendly. Not recommended for people with limited mobility due to steep staircase.
SECURITY CAMERAS: Video surveillance cameras are incorporated solely in the development accesses and parking areas.
LIVING AREA
Once you enter Corbu-Mingo you will be greeted by the completely remodeled kitchen and living space. The living area has a comfortable L-shaped sofa and a flat screen TV in an architectural pleasing environment. There is a half bathroom on this level for your convenience. Take the stairs to the second level of Corbu-Mingo and you will get to a dedicated work-station with a desk overlooking the living room.
At the top of the stairs you will also find the door to the master bedroom and an additional door to access the outdoor terrace. The hip outdoor terrace features a lounge area with seating for 4, a hammock and a small kitchenette with a tiny fridge and microwave. It is the perfect place to get together and unwind after a fun-filled day. The central roof terrace is a great addition, offering guests an outdoor space to enjoy the tropical surroundings. It enhances the functionality of the property and aligns with modernist principles while providing a beautiful space for relaxation.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
Corbu-Mingo is a two-bedroom apartment that sleeps up to 4 guests. The master bedroom is located on the second level and features a custom queen-size bed with nightstands and a full-size closet to accommodate your belongings in an organized fashion. The bedroom has a flat-screen TV, an en suite full bathroom with a shower and a washer and dryer. The master bedroom has access to an outdoor terrace with lounge seating area. From the terrace you can access the second bedroom via a spiral staircase.
The second bedroom at Corbu-Mingo is a compact bedroom, with a cozy queen-sized bed that takes the center stage, leaving just enough space for movement. A single window allows natural light to filter in. To maximize space, a small custom nightstand stands beside the bed, to hold just a few essentials. A clothing rack in the wall is tucked into one corner to offer storage for your clothing. The bedroom features a flat screen TV that hangs from the ceiling.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The second bedroom is very small and you must go up an outdoor spiral staircase to access it.
KITCHEN
Corbu-Mingo includes a fun and innovative kitchen that suites extended stays. The kitchen includes kitchen utensils, refrigerator, fridge, oven, integrated microwave, blender, and coffee maker. The kitchen features a dining table for four guests.
COMMON AREAS
While Corbu-Mingo has its own private terrace, the Pink Flamingo Development counts with additional onsite: gardens, outdoor shared areas, and private parking spaces through a gated controlled entry. A full-capacity electric generator in the complex ensures power is available in case of an interruption.
GETTING AROUND
Corbu-Mingo is within walking distance from most essentials. You can enjoy a great vacation and cultural experience without a car. Uber service is usually a few minutes away, travel distances are relatively short, and very affordable.
The Island also offers many fascinating locations accessible through day trips. For adventurous visitors renting a car, there is a designated parking space with controlled access included for one (1) vehicle.
LOCATION
Corbu-Mingo is located in Ocean Park, Puerto Rico. This is considered a prime location in San Juan. From Aqua Ocean Park, you are a 3-minute walk away from the sand and within walking distance to some of the best dining options Puerto Rico has to offer. Forget the rental car because from here, you can walk or Uber to everything! The apartment is approx. 10 minutes from the airport. Corbu-Mingo has restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, and shops all within walking distance.
There are many things to do in the surrounding areas; here are some of our favorites:
Chill at the beach! It is one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must-do if you are staying at Corbu-Mingo. The apartment has beach chairs, towels, and a cooler for a long day at the beach.
Lunch or dinner at La Placita de Santurce a local market with 20+ restaurants and awesome nightlife. We love Santaella restaurant which offers local cuisine with a modern approach and is in La Placita.
Explore Calle Loíza, which is blocks from the apartment. This up-and-coming hip street is littered with funky dining and shopping options. Start off with a margarita at Acapulco and head down the strip stopping at Sabrina or Azucena for sophisticated Puerto Rican food.
Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 40-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship. We can help coordinate tours to this destination.
Spend a day in Old San Juan. Aqua Ocean Park is a 10 min Uber ride from the oldest city in all the US. There is a lot of history to be seen and great food, drinks, and shopping to enjoy!
AMENITIES
West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 1 bath towel per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler.
West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel-size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.
HOUSE RULES
Check-in time is at 4:00 pm
Check-out time is at 11:00 am
NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.
NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property.
Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am, no parties or noisy activities during these hours
The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
Maximum occupancy of 4 adults at all times. This includes visitors. No children are allowed.
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease, or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess. Stained towels/linens will be charged.
Do not hang towels from the balcony or windows. A $100 fine may be applied if you break this rule.
