Cooinda Gardens 5, Beautiful Apartment on Hamilton Island

We stayed at Cooinda Gardens 5 while visiting the island for a work conference. The accomodation fit our needs perfectly, views were stunning, and getting around on the buggy made it super easy. Thanks for having us.

Loved the relaxed nature of the venue was plenty enough space for the nine of us and had amazing views. Airport shuttle was prompt on time for pick up and drop off the complementary buggy was a nice addition aswell. Overall was an amazing experience

We absolutely loved our stay at Cooinda Gardens from 1st April until 6th April 2024. We travelled to Hamilton Island for my daughters Wedding which was on the 4th April. The views from the balcony were stunning as was my daughter's wedding pictures that were taken in the house and on the balcony. It was very clean, loads of room especially for large families like ours, Netflix was great for the rainy friday we all spent at home, bright and airy and just that nice distance away from the hustle and bustle of the Island. Having its own buggy was great to get around. The pool was fabulous. Cooinda Gardens will always have a special place in our hearts as it was the place my daughter left as a Bride. The service from the team at Hamilton Island Holiday Apartments was fantastic as I had to call them a couple of times, not for anything house related, just a couple of questions I had. I would have no hesitation in booking Cooinda Gardens 5 again or recommending it to family and friends.

Amazing view. Clean and well maintained. Main Air Con failed on us the last day but we were offered a portable one or extra fans. (Unable to get a tradie as was a Saturday). Pick up and drop off by friendly staff was lovely and effortless. Would definitely book this apartment again

Absolutely beautiful! Just a note: few things that need fixing, the kettle was leaking on the bottom, light above kitchen sink not working & ice machine broken. There was no potato masher or scissors.

The house us beautiful. As a recommendation some basics could be added such as salt, pepper. If you have guests staying for a week supply enough dishwashing tablets etc. More tea towels, and dish cloths.

Overall a good location with fantastic views. Facilities were also good.

It is a beautiful place to stay. Rooms are spacious. The kitchen is fearly well equipped but no big serving bowls. Also, it would have been nice if there were basic consumables like enough dishwashing liquid and tea towels, some foil, baking paper, salt, pepper, etc. It is very inconvenient to shop for those basics if you are on a holiday. But, all and all, it is a great place and I will easily stay here again.

It is just a good size for group and nice ocean view from belcony. We really injoy our stay. But little pity is the kitchen ventilator and aircon dosen't work at all, no one come to fix after called manage DP.

We were an extended group. Grandparents, kids and partners, kids. Overall a really nice stay, supported by good pick up and drop off service. The property is airy, well positioned at end of group, with excellent easterly views. Clean and well equipped (mainly) It is at the North end of the island, well away from restaurants. So it is well suited to family groups who cook (and the IGA is very good). Unfortunately the kitchen while having excellent facilities let itself down with lacking crockery and other cooking essentials. I have communicated these to Pete the host and he has committed to action. To be blunt, the cleaning items and dishwashing tablets etc weren’t enough, there was only one baking tray (for a good 900mm oven), only 3 wine glasses, blunt knives. We encountered an BBQ empty gas bottle which ruined our first nights meal. Pete was very good and acted on what he could. The door to the main balcony was running metal to metal so it took a major effort to move. To be fair, these were annoyances - we had a great time and would happily stay there again. The cart supplied was ok but would only do 4 trips and back to the Marina before the battery light flashed. To get the whole house of 8 requires two trips so it does limit what you can do. I’ve advised Pete of this, you may wish to check on booking to see if it is improved. Being overtaken on hills when in the cart solo, by a family of 4 was an indication of an issue.
